Great place for a family to go and have a wonderful camping experience. Some amazing lake views too and fantastic entertainment on stage. Arriving was easy, although you're not given a specific 'plot', it was first come, first get for the best spots and like a car park at times, but once settled in and tent pitched, it was so nice and chilled. Slightly expensive on the food venues outside 'The Venue', £9.99 for a small pizza but the shop on site was great and we cooked things on the stove. All staff on site were so friendly and can't fault the cleanliness of the whole site. Brilliant experience and would definitely recommend.

The site facilities were ok but at certain times of day, they were messy. In the night, there were lots of kids messing about unsupervised. Not enough water points near pitch, had to drive to nearest to fill fresh water tank couple times. Overall, I think for families, it is a good budget holiday, but not for couples.

If you are a family wanting a campsite with amenities for the kids, toilets and showers, then this campsite at £26 per night offers great value. We visited during bank holiday weekend and on the first day it rained heavily, so this impacted the cleanliness of the shower and toilet facilities, but if being honest, could do with more regular cleaning. Billing Aquadrome is going through a period of change with renovations planned to improve the offering and this will make this a must for families wanting a fun packed time away. The site has a pool, crazy golf, train rides, bike/scooter ramps, arcades, adventure camps, water park, making it great for young kids. Food places and bar for older people. Advise downloading the app, or arriving early, to book activities to avoid missing out. The campsite is nice enough and, depending where you camp, it is a little walk to the toilets. I would highlight the need for the site to enforce speed restrictions, as there were a number of mindless folk speeding around the site. In summary, we would go back, perhaps in a year or two to see how the site develops and systems improve. We would recommend to others, on the premise you are open minded, remembering you pay £26 per day to camp and get pretty much free access to family entertainment. Some reviews have perhaps focused on the areas which needed improvement against the areas which it excels. Not perfect, but with bags of potential. Our children had fun, that is the main takeaway and our harshest critics!

Both the entertainment and the food was great. The free activities for the children in the daytime at the venue, swimming and cycle park went down very well. The arcade is the perfect size, not too overwhelming but enough to keep them entertained for a while. The aqua park and water activities are well priced and extremely fun for the whole family. The evening entertainment on stage had a range for all ages and went on until late which suited us well. The mini golf course is a nice touch and a fun way to pass some time in between activity times. The shower blocks and toilets although new were the only slight downfall on stars (toilets in the venue were much better and cleaner). All in all they got the job done, you can shower and toilet but there was no hand soap for the first 3 days due to no delivery and a few occasions they ran out of toilet roll. The showers are ok.
Room for improvement

The pitches are not numbered and it was extremely difficult to find where to park. Every pitch should be numbered. Site clean and facilities good.

No guidance for parking. The field was a mess with tents and vans mixed together. The facilities were dirty. The food was poor and no healthy options anywhere on site. We had no idea how to book activities! There was a real lack of information. Fortunately, we have kids who are happy to wander about mindlessly without getting lost. No sign posts to be seen. Overall, very disappointing

Generally okay. One improvement would be to give more information about how to book the swimming.
Pleasantly surprised!

Being a bit forgetful in our old age, we had forgotten that we had stayed on this site years ago. We usually stay on the coast but I think at the time, we were going to Santa Pod so Billing was local. We really weren't impressed but thought we'd put up with it for one night. Just lately, I have been looking at sites on rivers or lakes as a change and booked this, again just for the night. After we realised that I had booked the same site as years ago we were a bit apprehensive but took a chance as we'd paid for it already. I was gobsmacked to be honest. Yes, the sun was shining but it looked beautiful! The lakes looked amazing. The bouncy water park, the swimming pool, the skateboard/bike park, the amphitheatre, playgrounds, bar area and decking looked brand new. There was a train that went round the site and a nice little shop lakeside. The couple that greeted us at the hardstanding field were super nice. The only thing I can find fault with is they must have only recently laid the hard standing pitches as it was a bit muddy in places (dry mud) with earth piled up along part of the road. It would have been a nightmare if we'd had lots of rain but I guess they had to get the job done at some time. The pitches are a bit close together, but what made it seem worse was that lots of tents were using electric pitches, so were on the grass in between the pitches with their cars parked on the hardstanding. I guess it's no different really than a caravan on the gravel and a car on the grass, but the tents are so much bigger than a car. Also, none of the pitches were numbered, so we rode around a few times looking for a place. That said, it was very full, but everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. With the weather promising to look great for the coming week, families would have had a lovely holiday no doubt. I think lots of money must have been spent on improving this site and I was very impressed. The road out of the site from the camping pitches took you all around the static homes and the grounds were impeccable. Well done, Billing.

Ideal park for families. Lots for children to do. Entertainment good. On arrival, people on gate did not seem with it, as could not find our booking details. Had to pull up and go into office who went out and found them straight away! Asked if we were staying on a tent pitch when we were clearly in a large motorhome! Hard standing pitch for Motorhome was too narrow and unkempt. No supervision by site as to what goes where. Caravan next to us was on one hardstanding and their car was parked on another next to it, no one queried them taking up 2 spaces! No drive over grey waste facility. Not enough toilet blocks for amount of pitches.

It's an amazing campsite with lots to do and lots of options of accommodation and bin service for pitches. Easy to get lost around though and it is pitch black at night, so would help to stop people from getting lost if they put in some street lights and some better signage. Also, another let down is one set of toilet and showers for the whole site? So bringing your own toilet is vital.

Had a lovely weekend here. Definitely enough to do for kids & worth staying longer than one night. The new facilities are lovely. The only bad thing was other guests letting it down - it's a family campsite but people thought getting drunk and shouting all night was acceptable. Overall, we'd recommend and will definitely go back
Would definitely come again

Great place. They have recently spent lots of money there so all the play parks are brand new. The swimming pool is the warmest I have ever been in. There was lots of staff everywhere who were cleaning and litter picking and were all very friendly and helpful. All the entertainment and soft play included with camping, and all of the shops and bar are very reasonably priced! There is security doing patrols, so not too many problems after 11pm. Nothing not to like! We will be back!

A brilliant campsite along the Nene river with lots to do onsite. Very well maintained site all round with plenty of space for tents, including electrified, caravans, glamping pods and sizeable plot of holiday homes. The shower/toilet facilities were well maintained and cleaned several times a day. Access included to the onsite indoor swimming pool which was a good size and included a jacuzzi and an excellent water slide. It did get busy on Saturday but ample staffing ensured a safe and hygienic experience. The onsite restaurant/ bar offered a nice breakfast overlooking a beautiful long boat harbour. The gaming arcade was very popular with the kids. The open air cinema and stage had a programme on every day. Staff and fellow campers were very friendly and ready to help. The campsite offers an easy going camping experience with plenty of mod cons within easy reach. If you are after wild camping, look elsewhere.

This was our first time visiting Billing Aquadrome. It's conveniently located and is a lovely spacious site. We had an electric pitch on Shelduck 3, and there seemed to be plenty of points. There isn't much difference between Shelduck 2 or 3 - Shelduck 2 is more spacious, but Shelduck 3 offers hardstanding pitches. The toilet/shower blocks are really nice and were kept clean throughout. Our kids really enjoyed the indoor pool, the park areas and the new amphitheatre. We visited just before summer holidays, and there is a lot of construction work going on. They are aiming to open lots of new areas e.g. football pitch, BMX track and the train for the summer. This did mean there was some construction noise throughout, and areas we couldn't use. We also found service was slow e.g. at the bar, takeaway fish and chips, booking in swimming. There doesn't seem to be enough staff at the moment and they all seem quite new. I'm sure this will change as they get more confident. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would stay again.

The pitch was dirty as contractors did not clean the roadways of mud. The large population of Canada Geese meant every where was covered in their droppings. This found its way into the toilet block, the motorhome and children playing around the site seemed to be covered in it.
Amazing!
