A holiday at Forest Park is a nature lover's paradise, nestled amongst 100 acres of outstanding Norfolk woodland and rolling countryside. Hilltop viewing points provide panoramic views out to the sea at Cromer and Overstrand's beautiful beach and village is just a short walk away. Pitch up with electric and super touring pitches on offer or try a glam break in a stylish ensuite pod.

About Forest Park

Settle down at this relaxing park close to the Norfolk Coast, with plenty of time to admire the views. You're surrounded by 100 acres of woodland and only around ten minutes from the beach. There are pitches for tents and tourers who have the pick of electric or super serviced pitches. If you're feeling all glam, an ensuite pod is just what you need. Cosy and well protected from the elements, you're sure to be comfortable inside with private facilities, a kitchen with a fridge and a TV for when you fancy putting your feet up.

The site is open for 10 months of the year from March 15th - January 15th.

Getting active at the park is easy with plenty of grassy space for ball games and outrunning your neighbours, an indoor pool, woodland walks and cycling routes around the site.

You can see the village of Overstrand from the viewpoint at Forest Park, where there's a beach below the village's clifftop location.

From here walk the mile and a half into Cromer with its amusement arcades, theatre, zoo, two museums and that famous Cromer crab to buy in the town or catch your own off the pier. If you're angling for other fishy treats, try fishing for bass off the pier or taking a boat out to sea to land some cod.

Two long-distance walking routes finish in Cromer - the Norfolk Coast Path which runs 45 miles from here to Hunstanton and the Weavers' Way, a 56-mile route going to Great Yarmouth.

For shorter strolls, there are the miles of the Norfolk Coast AONB to explore, with easy access routes for buggies and wheelchairs, or to see the sights in style take the local bus from Cromer heading west.

Wildlife including seabirds and seals can be spotted from many places along the coast, with seal-spotting boat trips available from Morston and Blakeney.

The kids should enjoy a whirl around the skateboard park at Mundesley and try watching dad fall off. More thrills are on offer at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens at Great Yarmouth, the Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park at neighbouring Lowestoft and the Dinosaur Adventure Park at Norwich.

The award-winning adventure park BeWILDerwood at Norfolk has treehouses, zip wires and critters called boggles to goggle at.

Other days out in the area include exploring Norfolk's many history and heritage sites. Visit the royal retreat of Sandringham, roam around the rhododendrons at Sheringham Park or get lost wandering around the Holkham Hall Estate with glorious beaches. Prefer to ramble? There are three acclaimed gardens within eight miles of Forest Park: Felbrigg Hall, Mannington Gardens and Blickling Hall.

Day trippers can hire a boat on the Broads or take in Norfolk seaside and market towns such as Great Yarmouth with its pleasure beach. Sheringham has its weekly market and Poppy Line Steam Railway or the art galleries and shops of Holt.

Norwich is the place to uncover the history and heritage of its castle and cathedral. It's also one of the top ten shopping cities in the UK with one of the biggest outdoor markets in England. Shoppers and youngsters alike can get lost in Hoveton's Wroxham Barns, home of shops, funfair and a junior farm.
