Get away from it all at Caalm Camp, where you'll find six beautiful yurts on a secluded boutique campsite in Dorset. Just an hour from the Jurassic Coast, there are all your home comforts: a private wet room, a shared fitted kitchen and a spacious lounge. The yurts have comfy beds, electricity and a toasty wood-burning stove. Families, couples and parties are all welcome and the yurts are fully accessible for wheelchair users.
About Caalm Camp
Caalm Camp is a small family-run yurt campsite, situated on a former dairy farm in North Dorset. Enjoy looking up at the stars in traditional hand-painted Mongolian yurts (which sleep up to six people), or toast marshmallows round the fire pit, while still keeping your home comforts. Situated near the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury and about two hours from London or an hour from Bournemouth and Weymouth, the yurts are in reach of everything you want to see. They are spaced well apart in a landscaped paddock, each with their own barbecue and picnic area. They are ideal all year round because the yurts are built to withstand the coldest winters. Inside they are extremely cosy, each one heated with the enveloping warmth of a wood-burning stove. Free wood is supplied for the whole duration of your stay. Inside your new home you'll find proper beds made up with fresh white linen sheets and electricity points. All ages are welcome from newborn babies to great great grannies - and all sizes of party. Whether you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway, celebrating a wedding or organising a family reunion, this is the perfect place. Children can say hello to the farm's sheep, goats and chickens, and can roam safely as the whole site is securely fenced. Caalm Camp is level and well-lit, and there is ramped access to the yurts along with specially adapted wetrooms, so the site is a perfect choice for disabled guests. In fact, it has been listed in The Guardian as being one of the UK's top 10 wheelchair accessible cabins, lodges and cottages. For those who prefer it, there is also a holiday cottage available.
