If you're looking to explore the North Pennines, needing a stopover for the Pennine Way and C2C cycle route or planning a group trip in the great outdoors- this is the site for you! Set on the River South Tyne is this small family friendly campsite, close lots of great walks and cycle paths. The site offers 20 non electric grass pitches for campers. There is also a bunkhouse onsite with a self-catering kitchen and bunk beds. Located in the quaint village of Garrigill, this is a great base for those looking to reconnect with nature and embrace the natural beauty of the North Pennines. Youth activities groups, such as the Duke of Edinburgh, are welcome. Dogs are allowed however you will have to pitch up on the small grass area immediately behind the hall as they are not permitted in the camping field.

Site rules and policies
Check-in is anytime after 12 noon, and check out is before 12 noon on your final day.
Please note, dogs are not allowed on the camping field. However, if you would like to bring your dog there is a small grass area immediately behind the hall where you can pitch your tent with your dog.
Things to do on site and in the Alston area
For walkers, the Pennine Way and the South Tyne Trail pass right through the village. You can even drive just five minutes to Alston to begin the iconic Isaac's Tea Trail which goes through pretty hamlets like Ninebanks.
There is no shortage of sights nearby for you to enjoy, take a trip back in time and visit the Roman remains of Hadrain's Wall (40 minutes) or head over to High Force waterfall (25 minutes) to explore this impressive 69 foot waterfall!
