About Southwell Retreat
This peaceful and secluded setting is the perfect place to relax and spend time with loved ones. Just a 15 minute walk from Southwell town centre with charming pubs and shops, you will have everything you need within easy reach. The site features three pods, Daisy, Lily and Blubell, each including a cosy, modern interior to sleep up to four people with a double bed and sofa bed. You will also have a kitchenette including an electric hob, kettle, sink, toaster and fridge freezer, so you have all of the essentials for self-catering. There's also a dining table with four chairs along with underfloor heating, perfect for those cooler months. You will also have your own ensuite with a toilet, shower and washbasin, so there is no need to leave the warmth of your cosy accommodation. A fourth pod named Rosy offers you all the same luxury as the previous three but has a king-size bed and infrared heating. Bluebell pod and Rosy pod also have a log-burning hot tub! Bedding, towels and toiletries are all provided. Outside is a picnic table with the option to hire a BBQ or fire pit if you wish, perfect for nights of toasting marshmallows. Three pods welcome one small, well-behaved dog so that you can bring your pooch on holiday with you. The other pod is pet-free.

Things to do on site and in the Southwell area
Though you will enjoy peace and quiet on site, you will still be within easy reach of many attractions and fun days out. A five minute walk will take you to National Trust - The Workhouse, Southwell. The workhouse was originally built in 1824 and now offers tours, exhibitions and gardens for you to explore.
For a fun family day out, Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park is just a 15 minute drive away. The adventure park has plenty to keep everyone entertained, from a falconry centre and animal adventure zone, to a water park, rides, a maze and trampolines!
If you are a keen historian, a trip to Newstead Abbey (30 minutes) is a must. The 12th century building is the former home of Lord Byron and now welcomes guests to wander around the 300 acres of parkland and even features an open-air theatre in the summer months.
