Norden Farm is a family-run camping and touring site, set on a working farm just outside Corfe Castle, on the southern coast of beautiful Dorset - specifically the Isle of Purbeck. The farm is home to sheep, cows, goats, donkeys, deer and even adorable alpacas and is only a quick drive from Dorset beaches. With easy and nearby transport links, friendly staff, and great facilities and a wonderful farm shop, it is the perfect place for a getaway!

Award-winning and family-run site with an onsite farm shop, fishing lake and takeaway hut

About Norden Farm Campsite

A family-run, working farm located just five minutes from the world-famous village of Corfe Castle, surrounded by glorious countryside and the Purbeck Hills. Young children can enjoy the many farm animals on view, along with a toddler play area for younger kids and a modern play area for older kids. The site offers a variety of non electric grass pitches, each allowing up to six guests across the spacious field. Pitches allow tents, trailer tents and campervans, with no set markings and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There are also three adjacent level-grass fields that offer electric hook ups, with the choice of small, medium, large and extra large pitches. For anyone looking to try their hand at fishing, the pond onsite is stocked and free to use for campers. Be sure to also grab some food from the onsite takeaway hut, or farm shop. This site is set back from the main road, but with easy access to many nearby attractions, though its rural location may not be suitable for those who look for ready-made entertainment onsite! Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth are all within 30-40 minutes, with a 20 minute drive to the beach at Kimmeridge Bay - so plenty to keep you smiling. Small fire pits and BBQs are also permitted onsite, as long as they are raised from the ground. This is a family site which welcomes dogs but asks they are kept under control at all times. There is even a Pooch Parlour where you can wash your mucky pup should they choose to do some exploring in the dirt!

Norden Farm Campsite is open from 28/03 to 31/10 in 2024 and from 01/03 to 31/10 in 2025.

A note from the site themselves...

I arrived in 2005 as a 16 year old lad for a summer job in the farm shop. Growing up and after finishing college I stayed working full-time and have never left.

I have been able to make a success of my career, but I have also been able to stay local and live in such a beautiful area, I am very lucky! I love the change in seasons and the variety of work that running a campsite can bring. People are at the core of it and I enjoy hearing stories and talking to all sorts of people.

I love looking back at where the site has come from, but without drastically changing the real laid-back and rustic feel of the site. We have stuck to what we do well - which is a good touring and camping site and stayed away from moving into glamping.

My aim is to provide a good old classic bucket-and-spade holiday but without ready-made entertainment. Kids are allowed the freedom to enjoy the outdoor space. Keeping within trends and providing customers with a great value for money holiday.

Large Tent - Large Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a baby and 2 year old with us and it was perfect for them, having 2 parks and loads of animals to see, as well as woodland trail. We spent a lot of our time at the campsite because our toddler was just so happy there. Had a slight issue with wasps but the staff instantly helped and put measures in place to get rid of them. Lovely shop that had loads in and delicious Dorset ice creams. It's a great area with loads to do, we're actually going to come back next year as we felt we missed out on doing a lot! We did go in term time so I wonder how popular/busy it gets in the main holidays but it was lovely and quiet whilst we were there. Highly recommend this campsite, especially for families.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

Fantastic site. Easy to find. Well run. Clean and tidy. Tons of hot water. Showers, loos etc. Kept immaculately clean. Very quiet at night. Stargazing at night due to very dark skies. Perfect stay. 10/10.
