Things to do on site and in the Kingsbridge area
Long days on the beach are very close at hand from this base, with several good beaches within a short drive. You can walk along the coastal path to the fishing town of Hope Cove with its many eateries and little cove beaches or walk west towards the popular large beach of Bantham with lots of watersports to try.
The popular sailing town of Salcombe with its many boutique style shops, restaurants, pubs, boat trips and fishing trips is definitely worth a visit where you can often bump into celebrities.
Further afield about a 20 minute drive there is the family theme park Woodlands which kids of all ages love.
Paignton Zoo, Plymouth's National Marine Aquarium and Pennywell Farm are again family day out favourites.
For those wanting a more peaceful day why not walk down to South Milton Ley nature reserve and bird sanctuary or take a walk along the South West Coast Path.
