About Brosterfield Caravan Park

Originally part of Brosterfield Farm, this park has been transformed into a peaceful caravan park. Situated in the picturesque Peak District National Park, surrounded by acres of farmland, guests can expect cows and sheep as their neighbours! Here, you'll find spacious non-electric grass pitches suitable for tents, trailer tents, caravans, motorhomes, and campervans. Please note that the site's toilet and shower facilities are only open from Easter weekend to the end of October. Guests must bring their own facilities outside of these dates. There are also five dog friendly bell tents available for hire. Two of the bell tents are unfurnished and sleep up to four - please remember to bring your own bedding! The other three are furnished and sleep between two and three. One contains a king sized bed, one has two single beds, and the last has one double and one single. Towels, bedding, cooking utensils and tea/coffee provisions are all provided, while the king sized bell tent even has a cosy wood burner for chilly evenings. Located just a short drive from some of the Peak District's most iconic attractions, including Chatsworth House, Bakewell, and Castleton, guests can spend their days exploring and return to the park for a peaceful night's sleep. A note from the site themselves...

Stephen (my husband) and our family bought the farm in 2009 and have slowly renovated the farm into a mixture of luxury, self-catering properties and glamping, along with our family home. We own many acres surrounding the farm, and the local farmer now farms this land.

We are committed to preserving the natural beauty of our site and have purchased the field to the left of the entrance drive to the caravan site. Our goal is to keep it as nature intended and promote a return of natural habitats for different species.

We have also developed a pond, hoping to encourage the return of natural habitats and species. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of owls taking a nighttime flight.

We look forward to welcoming you soon,

Penny

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

I liked the location of Brosterfield and its quietness. The facilities were fairly clean and the washing up area worked well. On the Sunday morning when the site was busy, there were too few toilet cubicles and washbasins (in the men's toilets at least). When I did eventually get a shower I would have liked a stool or bench to sit on while drying myself. I saw no staff whatsoever during my stay, which felt a little impersonal.

Lovely, quiet, clean campsite in the heart of the Peaks

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

The campsite was really lovely, easy to get to, and a great base to go out for walks and hikes. The pub is only a 5 minute walk away and serves excellent food! Toilet and shower block was clean and the facilities generally were good. Easy to enter the campsite. The quiet was lovely too, and the whole place felt very calm and respectful :)
