About Glamp and Tipple
Glamp and Tipple are a small and exclusive yurt glamping site set on Norfolk farmland. Luxury stays are the name of the game with private heated bathrooms, private/covered hot tubs and many wonderful extra options to enhance your stay.
The site has five luxury, heated yurts, each with its own individual theme/colour scheme making them all unique! You will also have your own private covered wood-fired hot tub (including jets and lights!), private heated bathroom, private kitchen with double gas hob, fridge/freezer, BBQ/pizza oven, fire pit, all utensils, crockery and much more included the accommodation price!
The site is set on a beautiful and bustling working farm, Rookery Farm, in Great Ellingham on Watton Road, which services the farm and other traffic at various times of the day. Due to the location, guests should expect that there will be a certain amount of activity around the site which can generate some noise, but hopefully, this doesn't impact your enjoyment.
So many amazing extras are on offer here too! Have your yurt decorated for a special occasion, book in for candle-making workshops, cocktail-making masterclass, silent discos, private beauty treatments, yoga sessions, cinema nights and so much more including countless food options, including afternoon teas, 3-course meals and gourmet hampers!
Dogs are welcome.
Glamp and Tipple is open all year round in 2024 and 2025.
Guests staying in the yurts have access to private posh bathrooms, hot showers and private kitchen areas with private BBQ/pizza oven and fire pit. There is an on site honesty shop where you can pick up delicious local produce as well as a farm shop with fresh meat, fruit and veg.
The site provides a children's play area, table tennis/table football, dartboard, giant outdoor games, a snug/games room and badminton/volleyball net as well as a whole host of onsite activities.
There are many food packages you can book onsite from afternoon teas and graze platters to full three course meals. Alternatively, a number of bars and restaurants can be found within a few miles of the site with The Crown in Great Ellingham being a mile walk up the road.

This is a very well thought out site that gives privacy. Our yurt (Bollinger) was very well equipped and cosy.
My only criticism is that the decking area around the yurt, hot tub and kitchen areas are very slippery and dangerous when wet. I suffered a bad fall. I was not being irresponsible nor was I under the influence of drink. The decking was wet and my right foot just slipped, bank a heap on the floor. I would like to see the smooth decking replaced by a highly non slip form of flooring.
Apart from my bad fall, our glamping experience was terrific.
Site's response
Many thanks for your very lovely review, we are very happy to hear you felt that the site itself was impressive and that overall you enjoyed your stay.
We were very distressed to hear that you had a fall while staying with us. Believe it or not it's the first time anyone has had a bad fall at our site before! Obviously, we take the safety of all our guest extremely seriously, and we do have lots of warning signs up around the site regarding the decking and taking extra care when walking around, if the weather has been wet. We do provide anti slip mats in the kitchen area, by the hot tub and at the front door of yurts. Unfortunately, at this time of year when all the leaves are falling it can cause the decking to be a little slippery and we do our very best to ensure guests are aware of this. It's hard being a rural glamping site and battling against the constantly changing weather, but we always try our best.
Shortly, after your stay we did ask a company to come in and advise us if there is any solution which was affordable (as you can imagine we have a huge amount of wood on site and we are only a small family business) and we are waiting to see what options there are which will help long term.
In the meantime we have paid a company to pressure wash all the decking areas to try and remove any excess dirt/leaves which may have been contributing to the issue and it seems to be a lot better.
I hope this helps to reassure you and others reading, that we care very much about our guests and are actively trying to remedy any issues for future guests.

Yurt - Luxury Insulated Yurts (Sleep 2-6)Jul 2024
We really enjoyed our time here and it was all as pictured on the listing.
The ladies that own it and the staff were all great and wanted to go out of their way to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay. It is clear how much they love what they do and providing a great experience to visitors. It is great how much is provided on the site and saves the hassle of remembering and packing it all.
The kids (and me) loved all the games and facilities that were provided on site and could have kept them busy for hours. The inside of the yurt was spacious and cosy.

Yurt - Luxury Insulated Yurts (Sleep 2-6)Feb 2024
A group of 4 ladies went and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The yurt was decorated well in a bumble bee theme and had all we needed for a relaxing break. The hot tub was the highlight and we certainly made the most of it.
We had booked massage treatments by Anna and she was excellent and very friendly. Loren, her mum, and Helen (we didn't meet Lou) were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We'd booked afternoon tea after our massages and they came beautifully arranged. For £25 each, they were very good value.
The only negative is that it was very muddy and we couldn't use our fire pit and BBQ, but this is the British weather for you! All in all, a very relaxing break and would definitely come again.
Site's response
Thanks for such a lovely review, Carole! We are so happy you enjoyed the stay - it was lovely to meet you!
Yes unfortunately we have been hammered with a record amount of rainfall this winter (south Norfolk was even in the paper as being one of the worst affected areas!) Obviously we always advise guests if the conditions are muddy and we are glad you all remembered your wellies!
So sorry you weren't able to use the BBQ/fire-pit, if we'd known you needed them moved to a dryer spot, we would have happily moved them for you so you could utilise them.
Unfortunately, as with all outdoor locations, the weather is the one aspect we can't control but we are closing in March to try and improve the drainage and paths on site so we can try to avoid this situation if it should happen again!
We'd love to welcome you back one day!
