VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan PitchesAug 2023

A peaceful oasis within easy walking and cycling distance of the Kennett and Avon Canal, picture postcard villages and country pubs. We loved the bird life around the camp and the night skies were amazing. Loos and showers worked well and were kept very clean.

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2023

We had a fantastic break at Dark Lane. Beautiful site with well thought out amenities. Louise was a very attentive host. From our pitch we watched red kites, buzzards, hares, pheasants, a barn owl and a sparrow hawk, along with many lovely butterflies flowers and insects, and shooting stars at night. Several lovely walks from the campsite and Louise gave us tips on best places to walk in Savernake Forest. We will be back and we wish the site all the success, it was so lovely to feel like we were properly off grid. Thank you

Site's response

We are so pleased you enjoyed all the wildlife, we think leaving as much of the land to nature makes the difference. We will look forward to welcoming you back.
