This is a lovely little campsite. Very quiet and remote with lots of surrounding walks and rivers. The children loved it. Lot of green space for them to play on and my elder son loved being able to cook on an open fire. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a huge cool box to store cold food. I would definitely come back here.

Wow this place is beautiful! From the natural stream that you can go paddling or swimming in, to the spacious bell tent, close location to all the beautiful walking hot spots of the Brecon's and a small town, all with friendly owners. This has to be THE best camping experience I have had (40 years and counting!) There is a shepherd's hut too as part of the bell tent, and it is fully equipped with all your cooking needs as well as a dining table and extra seating/bed. The whole experience at Cynrig was magical and we will definitely be visiting again.

We had the most amazing holiday at this site. It is so peaceful and quiet, with the sound of the river the only constant noise. There are only three pods currently, which means it doesn't feel crowded. The separate shower and toilet for each pod is a lovely bonus, and these were clean and well placed. Our only tiny niggle was the length of time that the lights stayed on at night. They are on sensors, which meant that waving your arms around every couple of minutes was necessary. The kitchens meant that even when it rained, we had somewhere to hang out and enjoy our time together. We loved exploring the river. The water is clear and freezing, but there are spots you can get right in if you wanted, or just paddle around. The owners were lovely and were around when needed. The little decorations and touches like the handwash and washing up liquid and a freezer with blocks in to keep our cooler box cold were welcome. Brecon was lovely and only 10 minutes away by car, but we didn't explore much of the surrounding countryside as we were so reluctant to leave the site! We are already planning our next visit!

We (2 adults + 2 6-year olds) had a really nice stay in the boutique Bell tent for a week in August. Really liked the small site with dedicated facilities for each tent. Was peaceful with the sound of the river. Kids enjoyed playing by the river and there were lots of places to visit in the area. The shepherd's hut was a decent little kitchen and seating area. The fire pit was great in the evenings. Basically, I would stay again and recommend the place.

Gorgeous, easy to find location. The cabin by the river was well-equipped, clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. Friendly staff to greet you, but then leave you alone to enjoy your stay. Very peaceful setting, a little gem! We will definitely be back again.
