Great campsite

We booked for a last minute weekend break for my brother and sisters birthday. Campsite was easy to find, walking distance to Fishguard town. Campsite was really well maintained, bar was lovely with a good selection of drinks. The showers are the best showers around with great water pressure and hot! Toilets were clean - and the friendly farm cat was a bonus! Lovely morning cuddles 😊 Information leaflet was really helpful and the fire pit was great. We had a great time and have recommended it to several friends.

6 night stay

The facilities were spot on. We unfortunately weren't blessed with the weather. Nothing that the site could change. Showers were functional and clean and we never had any issues with them running out of hot water, even though the site was busy. We left a day early (our choice) due to the weather only.

Weekend stay

Site was clean and tidy, pitch sizes were very generous. Lovely peaceful area to chill and relax. Thought having no one to greet you on arrival let it down with no personal touch. Facilities very clean, toilets and showers well looked after. Showers lovely and hot.

We are delighted that you enjoyed a peaceful stay at Tregroes. We are a relatively small site and our customers have indicated that they appreciate that they can check in anytime between 2pm and 11.30pm (from the late ferry). For this reason, we have chosen to adopt the current check-in procedure. That said, we live alongside the site and are contactable at all times, ourselves and are team are working around the site everyday and are working in the onsite restaurant which is open 5 days a week.

Pitch was generous in size. Facilities reliable throughout. Everything made simple by management. Cheers.

Amazing

Absolutely an amazing place to stay, lovely small family-run campsite. The booking procedure was easy, and checking in was great, our booking details were ready waiting for us on the reception notice board, our pitch was an end pitch, the area was clean and had a bench and fire pit, although the pitch had a little bit of a slope it was all good. The site is close to many beautiful places so easy to explore. I would definitely recommend this place, even just to see the alpacas.

Great stay

Would recommend, lovely stay. Can walk to Fishguard in 20-25 minutes, or a 5 minute drive. 2 free car parks by the ferry terminal with a lovely view. We were in a motorhome and no issues. 20 minute drive to Newport. Decent car park and had the motorhome and no issues, £6 for 24 hours. Great onsite pub, we met various other very friendly campers and had a lovely evening there. Great showers, nice bathroom, kept clean. Dog friendly. Really recommend Mannings in Fishguard for coffee and lunch. Super friendly and great food and coffee with cute local food and drink (alcohol and jam etc).

Great little place

Absolute gem of a place. Location is superb, electric hook up and water tap right by camper. Pitches are very generous and in excellent condition. Very clean facilities, restaurant and bar onsite although didn't try them. Only stayed the one night but would have happily spent more time there. I think this is my go-to campsite before the ferry to Ireland from now on. Very reasonable prices.

Clean and convenient

Nice clean campsite located to places we wanted to visit. When we arrived, there was no one there with instructions and I had not received any information on how to check in. Another guest came up and informed up as they also had the same issue. It's a shame no one is around as nice to find out about the local area and questions you may have. We stayed in a tent and found the main road noise quite loud and also noise from a party in the town with the wind blowing it, may be fine in a caravan but personally was too noisy to sleep well. Not the campsite's fault of course. The campsite is very clean and was up area and bins tidy. Good space for the tent to be pitched, purchased some logs some were damp, but no more left to take from. Used the little restaurant there once, ladies very friendly.

Thankyou for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed the spacious pitch, location and cleanliness. We do not restrict when customers can check in but this means we cannot man the reception at all times. We therefore pin check-in paperwork in the reception porch. The paperwork provides pitch number and details of the site. Customers are encouraged to call if they need assistance. 5 days of the week the restaurant is open. The restaurant is also under the same ownership and the owners and staff are always delighted to talk about the area, walking, where to eat and visit. There was a marquee wedding on a local farm, which created a distant sound of music but this is not a usual occurrence.

Lovely! Very quiet, clean and tidy and some of the best showers I have ever used on a campsite. Must come back when the restaurant is open.

Fantastic outdoor exploration campsite

Our stay at this fantastic outdoor exploration camping site near Fishguard was nothing short of amazing. Located conveniently close to the stunning Poppit Beach, the campsite offers easy access to sandy shores perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. We also had the chance to visit the mesmerizing Ffynone Waterfall and the breathtaking Blue Lagoon, both of which provided unforgettable views both for kids and adults. We also enjoyed spending time at the campsite for resting, unwinding, eating, cooking and making BBQ using the nicely designed firepit. Logs were also available at reasonable price in-case you run out of charcoal. There are many places just in Fishguard which require at least a week to cover especially if you love the scenic views and the historic nature of the town. The campsite itself is well-maintained with clean facilities and spacious pitches, making it a comfortable base for all our adventures. Despite our four-night stay, there were numerous other attractions and natural wonders in the area that we didn't get to explore, leaving us eager to return. This site is an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and families looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the outdoors while enjoying a variety of activities and picturesque locales. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable camping experience near Fishguard.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay - we are well positioned for a number of North Pembrokeshire beaches and attractions. We are, however, about a 30 min drive from Poppit - well worth it though 😉

Very good site

Great location and plenty of space with a table at each bay. On site restaurant great on a cold night and staff were lovely. Arrived at 4pm and waited for someone to turn up. The welcome pack was pinned to a board at reception. No issues but could his be added to the info sent when people book the site.

Lovely calm site, friendly staff

Really friendly and helpful staff. Pod was kitchen was lovely and clean. Site was quiet and calm in the evening. Food was good from the restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little spot with everything we needed :-)

We stayed for 3 nights and despite arriving very late, we were welcomed warmly. The park was very peaceful, clean and the little bar area and restaurant was a nice touch. The Sunday roast was delicious! Service was very friendly here and was a very well thought out site. We walked directly from the site on a lovely trail to the harbour which was a lovely day out too. Thank you for a wonderful stay x

Pleasant site

Friendly welcome and alpacas in the front field (which I love!) Small family sort of site. Felt the facilities need a lot of updating. The actual showers seem new and are amazing but the cubicles are very basic. Separate toilets and wash basins were also basic. Washing up area provides bowls and fairy liquid so good in that respect. Hard standings are incredibly narrow - just room for a van or caravan so stepping out into grass, which was muddy and wet when we stayed. Slightly irritating when you've gone to the trouble of booking a hard standing pitch. Restaurant and bar seemed nice, although we didn't eat there. Location is good for visiting Fishguard and generally walking. No good shops nearby - closest is the Co-op in Fishguard - obviously more choice if you're happy to drive somewhere. I would recommend this site, especially if you're on route to or from Ireland as it's handy for the ferry. However, I would struggle to call it luxurious (apart from the awesome showers) It was just a shame the cubicles don't match the quality of the showers!

Thank you for this review. We advertise our caravan and camping site as a quirky rustic family site. We have new shower facilities that customers love. Due to the poor weather this year we have noted that the hardstandings are not of sufficient width for some units and we have added this to our works schedule. Fishguard, with a number of small shops and eateries, is a mile away from the site.

I'm still here!!

I love it so much I have extended my stay by 3 nights, so I am now having a 7 night stay not 4. The site is spotless. The shower block and toilet facilities are immaculate. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I went to the on-site restaurant on Saturday and had a fabulous meal. The portions were huge, too much for a pensioner like me lol and they offered me a doggy bag without me even asking. The pitches are enormous which gives privacy from your neighbours. It's early season so the site is fairly quiet, which suits me. There are lovely views towards Fishguard and the sea. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

Fabulous, exciting campsite

Was super excited to stay at this site as it was my first time glamping in a dome. The interior and exterior were absolutely perfect. Clean and tastefully decorated. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend to my family and friends.

A welcoming, friendly site with excellent facilities.

As complete novices to motorhoming, the owners could not have been more helpful. The facilities were great, including an on-site restaurant that served great food and drink. We'll definitely return when we are back in the area.

Great stay

Beautiful campsite, really peaceful. Toilets, showers and sink areas all spotlessly clean. You need to travel off site for any activities. Cute little bar area with comfy sofas and they have huts and domes as alternatives to camping. Staff were super friendly. We'll definitely be coming back.

Camping near Fishguard

Lovely park and lovely staff. We weren't met when we arrived and the signal wasn't very good, so this was difficult. We didn't get a pitch with a fire pit which we paid for. However, the weather wouldn't have been right for that anyway. Restaurant and bar were great. Food was 10/10 and the staff were fab and friendly. It is within walking distance from Fishguard but we were visiting friends in Newport, so was a little out the way. 8/10

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that your Firepit was not sited on your pitch on arrival. Had you raised with us at the time (phone call, during visit to restaurant, with groundsman/cleaner) we could have actioned this for you immediately.

Great starting point

The staff absolutely make this site. The pitches were spacious but the showers could do with being a little more pressurised as a had to dance around the one in cubicle 1. Love this site, so handy for the for the Pembrokeshire coastal walks and great as a starting base. Would highly recommend. Alpaca's are a bonus 🤣
