Possibly the most beautiful eco-camping in Wales

This site is possibly the most beautiful eco-camping in Wales. A few minutes walk from a swimmable beach and scenic headland. The pitches are on small grass circles in between areas of wild meadow between trees along a rushing river and the compost loos are well designed & maintained. Many places to explore & play for kids. To maintain the biodiversity, the camping is closed on weekdays & at beginning/end of season so check dates carefully.

Bert's is a very well run campsite with an up-market eco vibe. Compost loos serve the beach and riverside fields with secluded individual plots providing privacy. The meadow pitches are closer to the amenities including hot showers, restaurant and pantry where you can store chilled and frozen food and get hot water. While again each plot is individually laid out, they are more open and have a communal feel, especially for the children roaming the site. Great option if you want to pay a little extra for good amenities without losing the back-to-nature feel.

Be clear about what you're expecting and be willing to be amazed at how good Bert's campsite is. How have I never found this place before? It's not cheap! But then again, there is nothing cheap about it. No overcrowding, clearly they match their guests to compliment each other - shabby-chic comes to mind.
Lovely place by the mountains and the sea

Went for a few days with my brother. Seemed a great place, particularly for families with younger children as had that kind of aesthetic to it. Nice pitches mowed out of long grass meant a nice feeling of having your own space, and a decent relaxed bar set-up too. Nice place to base yourself whether you're after some sea or the Snowdonia park itself. Would recommend.

An unwelcoming campsite with rude owners, an unapologetic requirement to follow strict and rigid rules, and a lack of care for the enjoyment and well-being of the campers. A shame given the lovely location.

What a stunning location. If you want to escape and immerse yourself into an eco friendly wonderland, this is the place for you. Glorious Welsh peaks all around and a stunning coastline. The restaurant is phenomenal too, delicious food. Great customer service from all the staff. We'll be back.

Loved Bert's. Super clean campsite. We stayed in the meadow and so could see the sea from our small tent pitch. We racked up with two small tents, brought our own firepit, which we placed over the hard standing, and cooked over the fire for 2 nights. Rained hard the third night so ate in the restaurant. Wood fired pizza cooked on site, pricey but good. Needed to book which we hadn't so they squeezed us in and we were rushed. This campsite is totally geared up for families with small children who seemed to be having a blast. The showers are good - plenty of hot water. There is no smoking or vaping, which is fantastic. A good eco campsite, they reuse all the water, so provide their own cleaning products (soap, shampoo etc) which goes back in to the meadow. Compostable toilets, but also flushing toilets up at the restaurant.

Lynn Peninsula, this wild meadow campsite sits right between the beach and the peaks behind - all day sunshine on the campsite and lovely backdrops when having dinner 🍲🏔 One of our best camping trips to date.
