Me and my partner went away for two nights, and found it very easy to book and check in. Everything was clean and tidy, two onsite toilets were useful. All guests were respectful of quiet time. Owners seemed friendly enough, little interaction with them however that was perfect for us. Would stay again. Thank you very much :)

We arrived at the campsite and had to go find the owner. When we found the owner, we introduced ourselves and said we will be here for 2 nights. We were told to read the sign and were told where the toilet, shower and wheelbarrow was. We was then left to our own devices. There was no washing up sink so we had to baby wipe the cutlery and plates. There was no communication as such with the owner and was very much left to our own devices. The toilet and shower was clean and kept on top of, but there could be better facilities with adding a washing up sink facility. Also, the camping field is next to a used road, where you can hear vehicles going up and down quite a lot. Overall, we had a nice break away but there could have been improvements :)
Site's response
Hi Georgia, glad to hear you had a good break. We're a self check in campsite and all in the info is on the board where you park, sorry if this wasn't clear, we'll look into that. We're a very small site, so we know who to expect for arrivals/departures each day. Anthony said hi you to you and explained all you needed to know in a perfectly friendly way - there's not a lot to it really. Campers expect to be left to their own devices in our experience but we're around and happy to help when needed. All the best, Louise & Anthony.
Okay, not great for camping

We have been camping around Wales and found this place to stay. We arrived the first night and wasn't greeted by the owners. The camping meadow was big but we were the only ones pitching that night. There was no hot water for washing up, which made cooking and eating difficult. After asking (on the phone) the owners gave no help and suggested we just "boiled the water" - very hard and expensive seen as we were using a small stove and gas cylinders. The campsite had a really nice toilet and shower which made up for some of the negatives. Close to Aberystwyth with short drive or nice train ride in (every hour from 5 min walk station). The local town of Bow Street is nice, with a friendly pub the Black Welsh which serves Thai food. We weren't planning on eating there, as we were are camping on a budget, but seeing as there were no facilities to wash up after cooking, we did. It's an okay place. I wouldn't come back or strongly recommend for others, but however I'm sure the owners will read this and implement some changes to be more caught up with other camping sites found across the beautiful Welsh country.

This is a little gem, if you are wanting to get back to basics, this is the place to go. Don't get me wrong, it has everything you need, loos, a shower, and bins. Other than that you are taking a trip back in time when everything was simpler. It's in beautiful surroundings as you would expect anywhere in Wales.

We had a lovely stay, pitched up at the bottom of the field as was flattest there. Made good use of the wheelbarrow for all our stuff. Was glad of my wellies as the grass was wet, so if I didn't have them, I would have got wet feet every time we left the site or went to the toilet. Plenty of places to visit nearby and had a tasty meal at the Welsh black down the road but check if you need to book before, if you fancy a meal there.
Clean, basic facilities and amazing views!

We had a really great time staying at Campsiriol! The owners were friendly and helpful, in a non-invasive way. The area is beautiful and the views from the site are to die for. It's also really convenient to have a train station and bus line within walking distance for day trips. We came by bicycle and on the train bike reservations are free, so we could even go on trips to cycle a bit further out quite easily. The facilities are basic (just loos and a shower) but they're clean and well maintained, which is the most important in my opinion :) Would definitely recommend!

I stayed there for 5 nights, there is no tragedy, there is always a place to pitch a tent with parking, two toilets in one shower may be a problem £1 for 10 minutes (not bad). There is a nice fire place in the middle. I will give 6 out of 10 stars.

Lovely quiet campsite within short driving distance to Aberystwyth. Was very peaceful and in a good rural location, with lots of space for each tent pitch. Plenty of space for your car too at the top of the site. 2 toilets and 1 shower - only queued a few times for each. Both shower and toilets were cleaned to a good standard.

Lovely quiet location on the outskirts of Aber and it only takes 10 minutes to drive into the centre of town again. The site is close to a farm so there is rural activity in the yard next door with the contented sounds of a few cows. Beautiful views of the countryside in a field, with soft clover to walk on and mature grasses to lend you privacy from other campers. It appears that you can also choose a mobile home or a yurt to stay in, but I can only review as a camper with a little tent. Garden furniture next to an open fire area gives you somewhere to chill out. I heard owls and foxes in the night which was magical. Owners were really friendly, yet they give you lots of space and privacy. Take some pound coins for the shower. Delicious hot water to help you warm those joints after a night under canvas. I saw a yoga room too so perhaps you'll be able to indulge in that too. I would definitely choose to go there again. I took a drive to see Devil's Bridge - wonderful! Worth the visit; just a marvellous part of the world.

We stayed here for three nights with our 2 children and really enjoyed it. There were only a few other tents in the field so it was very peaceful and did not feel crowded at all. Beautiful scenery around, lovely beaches nearby and some nice walking routes. Would highly reccomend it!

Me and my partner had a lovely stay. We decided to have a spontaneous night away in our tent. Walking distance from some great pubs. So close to the seaside - probably could have walked it if the weather wasn’t as bad! The facilitates were warm and clean. We didn’t use the shower but looked decent.
