Beautiful campsite with a lovely coffee shop. The Bodiam breakfast was delicious. Facilities were super clean. Fantastic place for walks, visit the train station and the Bodiam Castle.
Nice location on the river, great cafe, pitches not brilliant if with your car

Great location in the river - we were swimming and paddleboarding every day. Bodiam castle round the corner. Nice site with better pitches under trees if you don't need your car next to you, otherwise just an open field. Friendly staff who helped me change my booking and a great cafe and shop (although no food sold) on site.
Resourceful campsite - riverside paradise!

This campsite is perfectly located if you love water sports and wine! Check in was very efficient and prompt, the host was very accommodating, particularly as we had travelled far and arrived very late. Our pitch was a great size and came with a fire pit! Toilets and showers were clean and ample space for washing up. They provide pizzas and cocktails on Friday evening but we were not made aware of the time slots system - so we ordered at 7pm but there was no availability for pizza until the 8:30pm slot. Great selection of English wines though, would be better if they served it by the glass. Service at breakfast was better, good coffee and food menu, the experience was slightly spoiled by the many, many wasps, but I know there's not much that can be done about that!

We had a lovely time at the Original Hut Company site. The facilities are excellent, clean and well maintained. The Hub café is fantastic - delicious food and friendly staff. The main campground is still very open and exposed and will be a bit nicer once the newly planted trees bed in. The shaded campground area is absolutely lovely. The river is amazing and paddling down it was the highlight of the trip. You can rent all sorts of craft from the riverside. The team are lovely and helpful, but it's quite expensive - a SUP is £18 an hour. The nearby pubs are superb - we loved the Castle Inn and the White Dog Inn. A great campsite in a gorgeous location with lots of stuff to do within walking distance. Couldn't recommend it enough.

This was absolutely perfect! Accommodation was gorgeous. I took 4 children away with me and have come back very, very chilled! They thought of everything, what a wonderful hidden treasure! We will be going back! 😊

We chose this site because of the proximity from London (1h 30), Bodiam Castle and water activities (epic adventures). The pitches are generous sizes and the facilities very clean. Although we didn't use the café or the pub next door, we also chose this place for these, and ended up driving to Hastings just 8 miles south. We had a brilliant time and will be back.

First time camping in a long time. Site was clean and had all the facilities needed for a good stay. Showers were hot in the Poplar site and roomy. Enough room for the kids to play but site was not full. Greeted on arrival and given all the information we needed. The hub was a lovely place for a coffee in the sun and being Father's Day, it was busy with locals for breakfast. Had the pizzas on arrival, a great booking system here for this, and food was fresh. If on a budget, be mindful that the pizzas only feed one adult each. Why not 5*? Although eco friendly, the composting toilet on the pitch area was on occasion too smelly. Great to be able to use a fire pit and toast marshmallows in the evening. Site was quiet mostly.
Couldn't ask for more

Beautiful big fields with space so that we didn't feel crowded. Loved how close the castle was and we used the river a lot with our kayak. The on-site café is great and we spoiled ourselves several times there. Genuinely, one of our favourite times camping to date. Personally, I could've done with a slightly nicer shower/toilet area, but this is something I always battle with. Maybe it was a little too rustic for me but that could be my problem. All round an absolute gem.
Excellent camping for someone who doesn't like camping

We had such a wonderful time camping here. We are not a family that typically enjoys camping but with the coffee shop and excellent food on offer, along with the a near-by castle and water sports, it made for a wonderful time. We will likely go back!
