About Wyld Wood Campsite

Set in a peaceful 13 acre woodland, camping at Wyld Wood is a natural escape from the modern world. Perfect for those who love nature as the site is teeming with wildlife. From the woodland of ashes, oaks and birches to the local rabbits, deer, foxes and more! You'll have the choice of four camping pitches, each set amongst the ferns and appropriately named after the wide range of wildlife nearby. Each suitable for up to five people and with their own log benches and fire pits. The small woodland pitch, named Little Grassy Pitch, is the smallest with space for just two small tents or one medium sized, no larger than 5m x 5m. Whereas the other three woodland pitches, Hazel, Fern and Bluebell can accommodate between two small tents, one large 7m x 5m tent or one large and two small tents. The site is also home to five yurts, Owl Yurt, Fox Yurt, Badger Yurt, Woodpecker Yurt and a Mongolian yurt which is slightly more secluded. Each has a double bed, two singles and a pull out mattress to sleep five. There is a well equipped kitchen dresser in each, with enough cutlery, bowls, dining plates, side plates, mugs and half pint glasses for five. They also come with a lighting and battery pack, a kettle, gas stove, colander, salad bowl, pots and pans, a spatula and a bottle and tin opener. Outside each yurt you can enjoy your own private seating area with a table and a barbecue. The site is teeming with wildlife. At night, barn owls can be heard while bats forage above your heads. Sit by the campfire and watch the stars through the woodland canopy and after a good night's sleep you'll awaken to a vibrant chorus of bird song. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be included in bookings.
