About Ouse Meadow Campsite
Ouse Meadow is a true outdoor adventure that awaits you in the beautiful East Sussex green and rolling countryside. Situated next to the National Trust's Sheffield Park Gardens and opposite the Bluebell Steam Railway - is a relaxed and laid-back campsite. Think river swimming, fire building, campfire cooking, den building, messing about on the river - all in the tranquil and idyllic environs of East Sussex loveliness. It is tents and small campervans only here, off-grid, with no set pitches. The site provides acres of space, a wonderful atmosphere, and enough facilities to make it easy. The campsite is spread out over three meadows, Main Meadow, Railway Meadow, and Little Brooks Meadow. The family favourite, Main Meadow is close to the river with rope swings, hammocks, table tennis, table football and other garden games. Railway Meadow is the largest field, the only one that allows vehicles to park next to pitches. Little Brooks Meadow, which is for couples and adult groups (or sole usage for large groups of up to 40 tents.) Little Brooks runs all the way along the riverbank and is set slightly away from everyone else. There are private, hot open air showers so you can wash while admiring the treetops, and in addition, new toilet blocks have recently opened which are cleaned regularly. Camping with few rules and regulations but a few little luxuries to make your camping trip easy and stress-free. From borrowing flint steel to light your campfire and exploring the countryside, this place is full of adventures just waiting to be had.
