About Experience Sussex at Wimbles Farm

If you are either a couple or a group of families looking for space and privacy and simple amenities, set in fresh mown areas of wild meadows, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a busy site with lots of people around you then Wimbles won't be for you! The farm is centrally located in the Sussex countryside with the market town of Heathfield an easy family cycle ride up the traffic free Cuckoo Trail. The sea, Brighton, South Downs National Park, Ashdown Forest and Pooh Bridge, and Hastings are all just over half an hour's drive. Campers enjoy 20 acres of natural flower meadows and a small stream. The pitches are mown weekly and there are four different sizes of secluded eco camping areas, including one to suit private groups and one for small campervans (if dry). For glampers there is a cosy shepherd's hut that would suit a family of four, with its own kitchenette, hot shower, wood burner. Linen is provided for its double bed and a separate bunk room. In summer evenings enjoy a glass of wine around the campfire watching the swallows go to roost and the bats come out while the children are safely tucked up in bed. There's also a unique Higler Hut, for couples, which is built from cedar wood and perfect for cosy relaxation. It's off grid, nestled under an oak tree and includes a wood burner, double bed and lazy chair. Outside there's your own slightly alfresco hot shower, dry eco toilet, gas BBQ, kitchen and fire pit.

The camping season is from 1st July until 13th Sept, while glamping is available from late March until the end of October.
