Ideally located between London and Brighton, The Holmsted Himalayas offers bell tent glamping with views of the Ouse Valley. Expect campfires, wild swimming in the large pond and woodlands next door. The beautifully furnished bell tents are set up for four (sleeping up to six) and are complete with beds. No car? The site is great for those using public transport.

A great stay at the Holmsted Himalayas, we all enjoyed it. We particularly loved the swimming pond with the kayaks and the community tent made it more friendly for the kids and adults alike. The facilities were kept clean and everyone appreciated the warm showers.

The perfect getaway. All facilities were clean and there were plenty of things to do for both kids and adults. The pond (although cold😂) was a brilliant extra. Cannot fault anything, can't wait to come back!
Incredible place!

What an absolutely wonderful stay at a beautiful place! There is really something special, it feels like a community. The bell tents are clean and comfortable and the communal areas were lovely and really well equipped with fridges and charging points etc. To top it off, it has a great lake to swim, or canoe in and the showers were lovely, warm and clean for after. It barely feels like camping! We didn't want to leave!
Brilliant stay - lovely family vibe

I had the most wonderful three days staying here with my friend. It was amazing due to the fact we didn't have a car, but once we had arrived with all our groceries on the first day we could buy firewood/coal etc onsite. There is a lovely swimming pond and the facilities are clean and the hosts are lovely people.
Pretty site, but facilities need expanding

Pros: - Beautiful views of the Downs - Gorgeous plants and flowers everywhere - Lovely community feel with lots of families - Large communal tent with sofas, fridge, kettle etc - The lady running the site is very friendly and helpful (thank you!) Cons: - Not enough facilities. Only 2 toilets, 3 showers, 1 sink for teeth brushing, 1 fridge for 10 (I think) tents. - No bins and you have to take your rubbish with you. - Beds in tents are thin sleeping mats and very narrow, definitely not glamping style! - The swimming pond is very green with algae and not pleasant to be in. - Wheelbarrows or wagons would have been useful at the parking area to save guests having to lug their stuff to and fro.
Superb glamping experience

Fantastic family break at Holmsted Himalayas. We loved every second. The beds were very comfortable with thick duvets, blankets and lovely soft pillows. The camp fire was perfect for toasting marshmallows. The lake was perfect for a swim.
A lovely relaxed site

Beautiful location, great tent and perfect, safe place for kids to relax and play. Also nice that it's not too big and busy. Only two downsides were that water pressure for washing up etc was very hit and miss and showers were not always hot and we weren't told that the kayaks would not be available before our stay which was disappointing. We had planned to do that as an activity on one of the days and ended up going out instead. I would go back though and recommend to others!

Thank you for your review, Georgia. We've been having issues with the water pressure for a few weeks now following a burst water main on the roadside near where our water is fed from leading to fluctuating water pressure. We intend to install a pump for next season, however this would involve digging up the area around the toilets and due to the site being so busy we are unable to do this safely while open. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, and sorry about the kayaks. Josh.
