About Forest Garden Shovelstrode
Deep in the High Weald of Sussex is a glamping selection surrounded by wildflowers and situated in a small regenerating woodland. The site gives guests a feeling of tranquillity and seclusion and the area is teeming with wildlife. Now's the time to get back in touch with nature in a little luxury! Surrounding the site, spread across six acres, is the forest garden, a highly productive way of gardening, using a woodland ecosystem, which bears great results! Kushti Yurt is a traditional Mongolian ger with painted poles and a warm and cosy atmosphere. It has one double futon and a smaller double futon as a sofa, and can sleep two. Savannah Yurt is locally made using coppiced wood, with an outside decking area so that guests can admire the views. It has two double futons and one single futon, to sleep five (supplement for the fifth person). By contrast, the Idaho Cabin resembles a frontier-style log cabin made from western red cedar. It is well insulated and so very cosy, even when the weather turns. The cabin offers a double bed on one level, a double sofa bed on the ground floor and the large seating area, so five can sleep here (supplement for the fifth person).. Anderida, Orinoco and Jacaranda cabins are built in the same way as Idaho cabin but each have their own unique style. They all sleep four people.
