It's a lovely spot to spend a couple of nights. Pods are clean, warm and comfortable. Site is very eco friendly with compost loos etc. The owners are lovely and welcoming. The ability to walk from the site directly into acres of woodlands was amazing. Lots of brilliant walking and only a short drive to Battle with all shops etc. Will be back, oh and my dog loved it as well!
Brilliant stay

We went there for a quick getaway, without knowing much in the area. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful! We rented a pod which was nice and clean, with a table and 2 benches. Both the owners were very helpful, friendly and kind! We will definitely be back. Perfect getaway in nature to spend some time with family, friends, and you are even allowed to bring your dog!

Lovely hosts and lovely showers. A really enjoyable break, thanks to the owners. The pod was clean, shower/toilets were clean, the shower was great and it was so nice that the area we stayed in was secluded and not overcrowded. My daughter and the dogs loved the space to run around, and for my daughter to ride her bike. We will definitely be returning.

We had a fantastic nights stay at BP&B. Whilst spending a few days out in the area, we thought it would be an added treat to stay out rather than return home, so booked BP&B. Phillipa, the host, is a really lovely & welcoming lady as is her husband, and nothing is too much trouble. They have some lovely horses and ponies too. The site is clean & well facilitated. It has some beautiful walks and the kids loved exploring the woods! It was so lovely to not have to bring all the bedding with us and was refreshing waking up to the calm in the morning. Everyone slept well so I always see that as a good sign! There's plenty of space outside and between tents so you're not overlooked, you still have your privacy. We went bank holiday weekend so all tents and pods were filled - neighbours were not a problem at all, everyone was really friendly and helpful if you needed something. I would absolutely stay here again and hope we can return. Thank you both so much for a wonderful stay xxxx
Great stay last week :)

We had a relaxing stay at Battle Pods and Bells last week in peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Philippa was so welcoming and helpful and we loved that you literally look out onto the woods from the pod. Great location for both walking and getting to the beach for a swim! Dog friendly too! We loved the outdoor showers and living simply for a few days! Can't recommend enough and we plan to be back soon!

We had a one night stay in a glamping pod. The site is a zero waste, eco friendly space. I enjoyed the huge field and the idyllic setting surrounded by woodland. It was a joy to park the car and walk to the site where there were no cars allowed. This meant a charming stroll using a wheelbarrow for our belongings through paddocks into the site. The entrance to the campsite is currently a building site as the owners are building a house of their own and living in a caravan on site. The "road" is very difficult to navigate and the entrance site sign is almost impossible to find. You need to drive very slowly to see the entrance to the site and once I turned in, it was very hard to see where you "check in" as there didn't seem to be a check in point. We were lucky the owners were sitting in the field below and saw us arrive. The chemical toilets were prone to being very full and one appeared to be blocked. The 2 showers were lovely and hot but with little privacy (your feet could be seen) in a wooden structured cubicle and this was not disabled friendly for a wheelchair user or anyone with mobility needs who may need to be seated when showering. I would have liked to see a more inclusive shower cubicle. I also didn't think that 2 showers and 3 toilets were enough for when the campsite is full (over 30 people) - I counted 4 two man pods and 6 four person tents. The tent was spacious and clean with well made, warm beds. A fire pit and generous bag of logs were available for hire. In terms of location, anyone needing to head into Battle (nearest town) needed to walk 20 minutes along a main road or drive a short distance, but once we got there on Saturday evening, we were disappointed to find 3 very expensive restaurants, an empty down at heel pub and a take away fish and chip shop on offer. I would not recommend this town for an evening meal. The site is beautiful and the absence of cars is a major selling point. I wouldn't increase the number of pods or bell tents and I think taking your rubbish home is an excellent idea. I would increase the number of toilets and shower cubicles and include a disabled friendly one. I would also prioritise making the driveway and entrance signage more inviting and accessible.

We had a lovely stay. We would 100% recommend to others and even go back ourselves. There was plenty of space for running around (adults and kids alike!). My only thing would be the toilets… they were fine, I just would have preferred compostable loos, rather than the ones you had (sorry!). But everything else was perfect, thank you very much for a lovely stay ☺️
