About School Farm Holidays

Family friendly glamping on a small and cosy site with plenty of privacy and personal touches, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy stunning views over the Shropshire AONB Welsh hills. There are four pods, affectionately named Owl, Hedgehog, Rabbit and Squirrel. Owl is the most romantic, which sleeps two in a king bed and has a private hot tub. The others all sleep four, with Hedgehog having a double bedroom and sofa bed, Rabbit having a double and twin bedroom, and Squirrel having two double bedrooms. Each also has a separate living, dining and kitchen area, complete with a comfy sofa, TV and kitchenette space equipped with a toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and oven. The ensuites have overhead showers and toilets, and each pod is also fully insulated and heated. For larger groups, Stag cabin sleeps up to nine people in two double rooms, one triple room (with a double and suspended single overhead), and one zip link, which can be made into a king or two singles upon request. Your group will have two bathrooms as well as an open plan kitchen/living/dining space. With triple glazed window and central heating, this is a great choice for a group trip. All of the units also have their own private patios, with outdoor seating and fire pits which make those colder nights extra cosy. Pick fruit from the four acre orchard or roam wild with nature and the local deer in the 16 acre unspoilt pasture with a stream, there's also a cheeky herd of pygmy goats who love to be petted! Dogs are welcome to join you but please make sure they are kept on a lead and not left unattended.

School Farm Holidays is open from 01/03 to 31/12 in 2024 and 2025.

A note from the site themselves...

As a family who has spent pretty much every day in the year lead up to opening working on site, we are extremely proud of our efforts in transforming an unloved farmyard into a place of beauty where both guests and nature can thrive. Where possible, we have saved original features (the bull pen, milking parlour) to celebrate the history of the site.

We can't wait for you to see the before and after pictures...we hope you agree the whole area is a success story which we would now love to share with you.

Camping Pod - Squirrel Ensuite Glamping Pod with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly)Oct 2024

We have just returned home after a wonderful few days in the squirrel pod. The pod offered everything we needed, we have stayed in quite a few pods over the years, but non of which offered the facilities the squirrel pod does. It's in a perfect setting which is great for walking and seeing beautiful views. It's peaceful and ideal for some time to recoup from a busy lifestyle, The Donkeys and the goats were also a bonus. The owners have taken great care in the details. We will definitely be returning, thank you Helen.

Camping Pod - Owl Ensuite Glamping Pod with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly)Sep 2024

Honestly perfect, couldn't have wished for more. Me and my partner had a wonderful time. Helen, who owns the pods, met us at the car park and showed us around. We got to feed the donkeys every morning, so that was a lovely bonus! Definitely coming back to this place. Loved it!

Amazing pod, so beautiful, will definitely come back again. Hot tub was perfect, watching the sunset and having a BBQ. Whole place was clean and well maintained, friendly staff and very good reviews for this park.

There is plenty on your doorstep to keep you and yours entertained. Sheinton Church of St Peter and St Paul, opposite the farm, dates back to Norman times and boats a half timbered bell tower and entrance porch. It was partly re-built in 1660s and thoroughly restored in 1854. It holds two church services per month but welcomes visitors all year round.

Much Wenlock (10 minutes) has immense charm and character with many beautiful period buildings - Wenlock Priory, Guildhall, museum and holy trinity Church. Known as the birthplace of the modern day Olympics Wenlock was a proud mascot at London 2012 Olympics.

Just 15 minutes from Sheinton is Ironbridge, declared a World Heritage Site in 1986. Known as the Birthplace of the industrial revolution Ironbridge has a wealth of attractions and museums to occupy a full week, including of course the world's first ever iron bridge, built by Abraham Darby III in 1779.
