Glamping Thorpe is a small site exclusively dedicated to glamping, where groups can hire the entire field space and create their own festival site or party hub including the use of a barn with stereo, disco lights, sofas and log burner. The hideaway is situated conveniently off the M40 close to attractive views and far from neighbours who might be disturbed by any noise.
About Glamping Thorpe
The site is ideally set up for hen parties, family reunions, university reunions, birthday parties, corporate team building and other group events where space and comfy glamping accommodation are needed away from the town. Located just off junction 11 of the M40, there is parking provided and the local pub is within walking distance. Set up for glamping only, with no tent or caravan pitches at all, Glamping Thorpe's main 'Party' field instead offers a heady mix of converted horse lorry, two painted caravans, a shepherd's hut and two large bell tents, all styled to suit the festival atmosphere. The Love Shack caravan features a chandelier and double bed, while there's also a 60s Pink Hippy van. The more peaceful shepherd's hut has a king sized bed and gazebo attached. For an even more unique experience, the 'Army' field offers various converted wartime trailers, all transformed into quirky glamping accommodation for couples. Groups can have the whole field to themselves. Stay in the genuine 1940's WW2 Home Guard Trailer, or go undercover in the British camouflage trailer, while the opposing side can bed down in an East German War Comms trailer! Finally, for the truly wild, there's the SAS trailer with memory foam mattress and an Allied trailer with homefront decor for patriotic guests. Each of these rare sleeping options include a gas stove, phone charging socket and Bluetooth speakers. This venue allows fires, music and general group fun, perfectly suiting adventurous types keen to try something new!
The site is open from the 1st of April until the 1st of October.

Things to do on site and in the Banbury area
On site vintage tractor rides are available for groups, and the real fun gets going in the barn which is a night time disco, and chill out space during the day. Have a go at DJing on the Bluetooth speakers or just practice your dance moves.
Space is no problem here so if you want to relive the school sport days, or just fly a kite in the breeze just bring good company along!
There's no need to leave the site for your festival entertainment, but for those who want to explore further, just walk into the village of Chacombe for a hearty pub meal and supplies from the shops.
Banbury is just a 10 minute drive away with some good group activities available there too. Boat hire on the canals is available, plus some luxury spas for a proper pampering session that would suit hen parties, and bowling at MFA Bowl in the town centre.
