About The Paddock
With glamping being more and more about the experience, The Paddock really delivers. You can lay your head in the simple perfection of a camping pitch with a roaring fire, or choose to take things up a notch with a set of uniquely quirky glamping Landpods. The pods are packed with individual details and offers the beds you need inside, an enchanting atmosphere, plus a chance to peel back the roof and watch the stars any time you fancy. Or you might fall in love with a spacious and beautifully furnished yurt, strewn with throw pillows, or even a big safari tent that can sleep up to 8! - the choice is yours. The safari tent includes a toasty wood burner, full double bed, bunk bed and sofa beds. Guests are treated to two separate bathrooms, two bedrooms and a kitchen with all the bits and bobs you'll need, plus a large living room with dining table. Things to do on site and in the Bury area
You can walk into Ramsbottom via a footpath and this will take around 15 minutes. It's a nice stroll and you can reward yourself with a tasty cafe pit-stop as a reward. Ramsbottom is also home to the famous East Lancashire Railway, so you can grab yourself a day pass and hop on and off wherever you like!
Back at base, why not have a taste of the real good life. You can pre-order BBQ and breakfast packs to be in your cool box on arrival, so you don't even have to think about packing food.
There's an abundance of maps and 'what's on' flyers on the information wall, so you can head out for the day and explore what's around you. They have over 120 different cycle routes so why not take your bikes!
A drive of around 40 mins will take you to either Preston or Manchester for a fun urban day out with loads of museums, excellent shops and more indoor attractions than you could shake a stick at. Meet the underwater residents at the Sea Life aquarium, roar with the crowd at Old Trafford if you're a sports fan or hop aboard the puffing Ribble Steam Railway.
Other great things to explore:
- Musbury Tor
- Helmshore Mills Textile Museum
- Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival - usually held in April
- World Black Pudding Throwing Championships - September
- War weekend - May
- Duck race - held in May
