Gambledown Farm offers a family-friendly rustic adventure with four off-grid safari tents. Set in Hampshire, very close to the edge of the New Forest. Don't let that fool you, however, as there are fabulous farm animals to meet, beaches close by, 15 minutes in the car takes you to Paulton's Park, and even Stonehenge is only a 35 minute drive away. Pet friendly too!

Tranquil and peaceful site, local to many activities and wonderful walks. Large, clean safari tents with fire pit outside. Lovely welcome, and a small but convenient honesty shop for cold drinks, ice cream and some basic needs, plus plenty of electronics charging if needed.

We have just spent 3 nights at Gambledown Farm. It's a great location close to the New Forest. The safari tents are spacious, it's a fun combination of camping under the stars with the luxury of hot water, a bathroom and very comfortable beds. There are some fantastic country walks from the campsite and my daughter loved the farm animals, particularly the chickens and option of fresh eggs every day.

A great find and highly recommended. Location is in Hampshire near the border with Wiltshire. We were able to access Stonehenge/Salisbury/New Forest/ South Coast. Safari tents in a big field with 5 in total. Very well-equipped and clean. Really decent bathroom with shower and hot water. Small kitchen area well-equipped with sink and hob. Woodburner to keep you warm at night. Kids loved the little cubbyhole to sleep in. Deck and BBQ and fire-pit and outside seating and table. Perfectly comfortable and fun for us (2 adults 4 kids). No electricity but big cooler box and you could change ice-packs every day from the freezer in the honesty shop so as good as having a fridge for 3 nights. Making available charged lanterns you could swap every day was one of many nice touches. Honesty shop was really handy and we charged our phones/battery packs at the little charging area by the lanterns. We also availed of the fresh pizza on Saturday night, which was great. Owners and team were incredibly nice and helpful. Even little touches like wheelbarrows to shift your luggage over to the tent was smart and helpful. Our kids enjoyed helping feed the pigs and chickens and collecting fresh eggs every day. If you want comfortable camping without the inconvenience of putting up a tent, and clean, simple living in a lovely quiet safe spot with helpful people, this is your place. We'll be back!

Very well set up - very safe for children as no cars allowed onto field itself, but don't worry as wheelbarrows provided to move luggage. The site was very peaceful, except the noisy cow who, on the first night, provided great amusement. She had been removed by our second night! Huge cool box with frozen water bottles provided so easy to keep things chilled. Great shower and very well laid out and supplied kitchen area. Lovely decking to sit out on and huge fire pit to toast marshmallows. They seem to have thought of everything. We did not use any of the food options as we decided to BBQ every night so cannot comment on those. Good sized kettle BBQ and utensils provided. The 4 and 2 year old just loved it, including their bedroom "in the air" and being able to wander around the field. Looking after Henny Penny the chicken was a huge bonus, especially when we got back from Paulton's Park to discover she had laid an egg! So pleased we chose Gambledown over a hotel - it really made the break. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Gambledown Farm is a calm and relaxing place. The family and staff were all very welcoming and friendly. They've thought of everything we could need and we were even invited to help feed the new baby lambs. Be prepared to get into the spirit immediately and use a wheelbarrow to get your things to the tent (this was great fun and the kids enjoyed a little ride). This is glamping, not camping (there's a shower and wood burner in the tent), but it still has the camping feels (in April we had hot water bottles to keep warm and you can hear the birds sing in the morning). At the end of our stay we had clear instructions for checkout. We were a bit rushed for time as there is quite a bit to do, but it is a lot less than camping and brings it to a nice close. We said goodbye to the chickens and pigs as we left! We had a day out at Poultons Park, it's well situated for that. We recommend a stay at Gambledown Farm for families wanting some relaxing family time. It's great for enjoying marshmallows around the fire, running around the field and saying hello to farm animals.

Really enjoyed our stay in the safari tent, 4 adults and 2 large dogs. Log burner kept the whole safari tent really nice and cosy and the fire pit and BBQ were nice for the evenings! We visited The New Forest, Stonehenge, Woodhenge and 2 beaches all within a 40min drive!

We absolutely loved our stay at Gambledown Farm. It is a beautiful farm with stunning safari tents that far outweighed my expectations. Very comfortable, easy and flexible to stay in. I wasn't expecting our own luxury shower room! It looked nice and worked extremely well. We received a warm welcome and it was really well organised. My children were so excited and were able to safely run free in a car-free field. As a single mum with 3 children (one of whom is autistic), I was nervous to holiday alone, but it was just perfect for us. Lots of space, a play barn, little honesty shop, animals to see, tractors at work. Really lovely. Tamara and her team were friendly and helpful. No TV, no Wi-Fi, no tablets and iPads…a perfect getaway for family time! I loved seeing my kids roam free and play rather than being attached to a screen. There is lots to see locally, so it is an ideal location but is tucked away down a quiet country lane. I feel like I have found a gem. Highly recommended to all.
