Swanage Bijou Camping is dog friendly and in a fantastic central location, easy walking distance from Swanage Steam Railway, the town centre and the superb beach. Enjoy peace and car free camping with campfires welcome or choose a chic bell tent for a glam break. Pitch and putt, footgolf or frisbee golf available on site.

About Swanage Bijou Camping

Just a 7 minute, gentle walk from the beach and attractions, this site offers level and unmarked pitches - where you can choose the spot that suits you best on the day. It's a carefully manicured lawn with enormous playing fields to suit those keen to get active or spread out. Pitches are within a 4 acre area, without electric and there are 20 acres of fields and parkland to enjoy. Cars are not permitted in the camping area to ensure your stay is free from any engine revving! Barrows are provided to make getting your stuff onto the pitch easy going. For glampers, chic bell tents with campfires are the perfect option, with space for up to a family of five. Inside is a double bed with memory foam mattress and a set of single beds, plus you can rent your bedding as a handy extra. Dogs are welcome to join you whether you're camping or glamping.

There is a free modern children's adventure playground and free skate park only about 60 metres away from site.

This is a quiet site - hushed voices from 11pm and silence from midnight.

Things to do on site and in the Swanage area

If you do like to be beside the seaside, you're certainly in the right place. Stroll to Swanage Beach for a lazy day in the sun or just have a good kick about in the massive space provided on site. In fact, most people leave their car on site and just walk to all the local attractions.

Take a nostalgic ride on a Dorset steam railway and wave to passers-by, or get an ice cream and walk the length of the pier. The town centre is very easy to access too.

If you do want to take a trip in the car, Corfe Castle is in easy reach and Studland Beach with its lovely nature reserve.
