Beautiful setting in a quieter, pretty valley bursting with wildlife and countryside. Well organised and well kept with helpful owners and a brilliant little shop. We will definitely return, Tim & Sally.

A great place to stay. The children totally enjoyed it, especially when they spotted a female deer in the meadow. It was very relaxing for adults too.
Beautiful campsite with excellent facilities!

Me and my Mum had a really lovely stay at this campsite! The pitch was beautiful - surrounded by wildflowers with a view of the lake. The facilities were great - toilets and wash station were spotless and each pitch had its own drinking water tap, bench and fire pit. The stream running through the campsite was great for cooling off in :) area is beautiful and lots of great walks around with OS maps available to borrow at the farm shop! Looking forward to coming back here in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Woodfry's for my daughter's first camping experience. Anyone travelling with children (or who is fussed about parking their car on pitch) should book a ridgeway pitch. We were close to toilets and showers (both of which were exceptionally cleaned and maintained) and there is also a washing up sink with dish soap and hand soap provided. Small shop on site, which we didn't get to take advantage of too much, but had all the basics, as well as some locally reared meat. Hannah was really lovely and in fact, the campsite is close to the town hall where we ended up watching the Euros semi finals and the community vibe.

This was our first visit to a greener camping club site and what a great visit. 2 adults, 1 dog and a campervan, 5 days/ nights in June. Tranquil and peaceful, no traffic noise, with abundant wildflowers and wildlife to enjoy, plus the stunning view from the ridge over the lake below. There was about a 15 minute walk along a quiet lane to a bus stop where you could get a bus to Shaftesbury and other places. Very high standard compost toilets and super showers. The addition of free to use eco shampoos, soaps, dog poo bags etc a nice touch, as was a firepit and picnic table to each secluded pitch. The little shop was a bonus too. Great value, lovely hosts.

We stayed at Woodfrys Farm for our 4 year old's first camping trip, and it was perfect. It's such a quiet location, no busy roads for children to wander onto with everything you need in one place. We stayed for 2 nights and spent our whole time at the campsite. There is a little farm shop which sells the essentials you may have forgotten, and some wonderful meat. The compost toilets and showers are very clean, with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and washing up liquid all provided. Each pitch comes with a firepit, and you can buy large buckets of firewood and kindling for £6 onsite Our son loved being round the pond and paddling in the stream. Would definitely recommend.

An absolutely gorgeous site with a cute little shop doing things like rugs and playing cards! Each pitch has a metal fire pit and a picnic bench. However, you do have to pay £5 for logs, which is understandable. Very friendly family and the most gorgeous greyhound dog, who was one of the highlights of our stay The toilets and showers were very clean and ecologically friendly toiletries were provided in them. Thank you so much!

We stayed at the beautiful Woodfrys Farm over bank holiday weekend. The location was stunning and each pitch felt like a secluded little meadow. We were lucky enough to have a pitch right next to the pond where my son was able to fish. The site was friendly, well equipped with clean compost toilets and lovely showers. The shop was charming and even sold puppy ice cream and treats. The whole family loved our 3 night stay and the owners made us feel so welcome. We will definitely book to stay again.

The stay was very quiet. Nature was lovely. I met a couple of robins that said hello to me on both days. The lawn is cut to show where to walk. It’s overall very tranquil and peaceful. I wasn’t surprised by being greeted and their facilities were spot on. I got used to the eco toilets. Very good.
