Lovely little campsite, toilets and showers are clean and it has some beautiful views when not cloudy and on top of the hill. A nice place for families however, be aware there is a little pond. Unfortunately, didn't see any staff. However, if you want a trip with no human interactions, it's perfect for you. I wouldn't recommend the campsite to anyone with large vehicles, it is down some very narrow roads.

A lovely campsite in a beautiful location. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to relax, escape modern life and immerse yourself in nature. It has all the facilities you need, clean loos, showers and washing up areas, plus freezers for food and icepacks as well as a washing machine and two tumble dryers. The pitches are spacious with some on flat ground and others on sloping. The nearest beach is about a mile away and a very pleasant walk down quiet country lanes. Lovely Mill Bay beach is a short drive away, as is the ferry point for Salcombe. Local shops are a bit scarce so it's sensible to stock up in Kingsbridge or at the Spar at East Charleton. That said, Piglet Stores at East Prawle has plenty of essentials. We'll definitely be going back. A great campsite with a lovely vibe.

A beautiful location with excellent facilities. A great block housing showers, loos, washing up facilities, chest freezers, power sockets and laundry facilities. All were solar powered and free to use. Absolutely zero phone access, unless you climb the (steep!) field to get 1 bar on your phone, a blissful escape from the outside world. Best bit was unzipping the tent flap at 05:45 to watch the sun creep over the hill, utterly mesmerising. No shops worth mentioning anywhere nearer than Kingsbridge, so make sure you have sufficient rations for the evenings - stock up before returning to camp. Great value and a great site. This was our 3rd visit, and we'll be back for more.

Access to campsite is via very narrow lanes that are not maintained. Therefore, be prepared for a few scratches on your car. Lambing time and 50-60 birds houses in two trees which meant if you wanted to sleep past 3am, forget it, again this was not mentioned to us. The view and facilities are top notch so not all bad, no contact from owner at all. We left after first night as not for us as no chance of relaxing.
Site's response
Access is via standard Devon lanes certainly no worse than anything else in the area . Not sure what you mean about bird houses maybe nests? Sometimes there are sheep and lambs nearby, other times not, this is what you might expect from camping in the British countryside . Most of our customers enjoy the nature and generally peaceful surroundings. Perhaps if I swap the sheep and birds for road noise this would help people to sleep!

On arrival, we found our pitch ticket was pre allocated (7) on a peg attached to a pallet with a site map to show you where to go and some basic instructions. Overall, the site was good, very quiet and only one other campervan on site when we got there. This did increase, but only to 4/5 of the 40 pitches were taken up for the time we were there. Our pitch was pretty flat for our large tent, some of the others are not. The owners never came to say a proper "hi" but did wave as they carried on the day to day work on the farm. The shower block only has 2 showers for male and 3 for female and were not cleaned for the first few days, so glad there was only a few other people on site. This was then attended to every morning. My wife had to wait a couple of times for the shower in the morning, even with so few pitches taken, so with 40 pitches I can only imagine the queue. So for this reason I marked this down. As for the open view from the washing up area, this was great, looking out over the site and the surrounding hills. Be advised, the roads to the site are single track with passing places. Some of these are very tight, depending on your vehicle size. I would advise proceed with caution. Yes, we would return again, but not in the main season due to the amount of facilities.

Absolutely beautiful setting with a 1-2 mile walk to Lannacombe Cove. If you want peace and quiet and don't mind being away from it all, this is perfect. No electricity hook ups but that was fine for us. Showers and toilets nice and clean. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Was slightly out of the way so lots of small lanes to negotiate, but a beautiful location. There's a small beach within walking distance. Great washing up facilities, lots of hot water, clean toilets and showers with lots of room. Site very hilly so large chicks needed to level a vehicle if you have a camper. No phone signal for EE or Tesco mobile so be mindful if you need your phone.

Worth the travel to this place. Lanes are a little tight in places but camping is great. Very quiet with the backdrop of hills in the valley. I'm already planning to go next year. Good facilities and scenery too.

Beautiful setting in a quiet area. The campsite was lovely and clean. Just somewhat surprised at the way we were sited, given it was a field with only 3 tents but all positioned by the owner next to each other. We never saw the campsite owners during our stay and found it very impersonal. We would have preferred at least recognition that we had arrived and we're leaving.

Beautiful location. Found along narrow, windy lanes set in the most stunning countryside. It's beautiful and untouched! Nearby to so many stunning beaches.Peaceful site. First few days were very quiet then the site filled up. It was great either way. It was lovely to see children just being children and really enjoying themselves. Cleaners worked really hard. Last day arrived back to the pitch to find we had people pitched in our pitch...not sure what had happened, must have been a small mix up but I did wonder why the new campers hadn't gone to the owners to say they had been put on a pitch with a tent already pitched instead of putting their tent up...it was ok as we were leaving the next morning but had we been staying longer then we would have had to ask them to move. These things happen and it definitely didn't ruin our trip. Would definitely go back. Can use electricity points and freezers for ice packs and hairdryer available. Superb value x

Even better now, facilities have been updated but still a lovely peaceful site with plenty of space. Not too far to coast path and beaches.

Small, friendly, quiet and beautiful little campsite. Plenty of nature on site and local walks especially to a lovely little beach just over a mile away. This site has all the amenities you want and need (except a shop) but come prepared and it's the perfect spot to get away from it all and really unwind.

Love this campsite! Only thing my older kids wanted to suggest is some hay bales or climbing frame/ swing as somewhere to hang out and meet other campers. Really great place, definitely will be coming back.

This is a well run campsite, with good facilities - hot water for both showers and washing up, access to washing machine and tumble dryer at reasonable prices. The campsite is lovely, with a wealth of wildlife - swallows swoop over in the day, then the bats take over at dusk. The South Devon lanes around the campsite are very narrow, with high hedges, often steep and with few passing places, so be prepared for this before you go. However, it is a beautiful part of the world. The South West coast path is nearby and there are several lovely beaches within 30 minutes drive.

Beautiful setting and location. Plenty of space in the campsite, but they seem to prefer placing all the bookings together rather than spreading them around the campsite. Sun sets and it gets dark pretty quickly, which together with this week's easterlies it made it pretty cold. Facilities are good but not excellent. Top thinking to having all of them covered by solar panel produced electricity. Friendly staff. Dogs on lead request not enforced. Would go back.
