Leekworth Caravan and Camping park is family run and set on the outskirts of Middleton in Teesdale, very close to Barnard Castle welcoming adults only. Explore the surrounding North Pennines AONB or take a walk along the River Tees and bring your fishing rod as guests have access to free fishing. The famous Teesdale Way cuts alongside the site, joining the Pennine Way.
About Leekworth Caravan and Camping Park
This adult only park is just minutes from the historic market village of Middleton in Teesdale. It's a quiet site where tents and tourers are welcome to pull up and relax on spacious grass and hardstanding pitches, with the option of electric. You can also hire a fire pit and use it to BBQ beside your pitch. There is a dedicated dog walking area for your four legged friends. Seasonal pitches are available for those looking to stay long term, along with a quaint and stylish fully equipped Shepherd's Cottage perfect for two.

Site rules and policies
A pitch is for a caravan, campervan, trailer-tent or tent and includes 2 adults.
Due to the narrow entry lane, arrival is strictly no earlier than 2:30pm and departures no later than 11am.
Check in times are from 2:30pm - 7pm Everyday
Hot water showers are provided (they require a 50p coin).
Parties of over 6 persons will need to reserve 2 pitches.
There's a have a strict no noise policy after 10:30pm so if you want to stay up late partying- this is not the site for you! For this reason, no stag or hen parties, sorry.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed on site, but they must be kept on leads, and any mess cleaned up instantly and disposed of responsibly.
Properly constructed BBQs, with a minimum height of 40cm from the ground, are allowed on site, but do not allow the use of disposable BBQs as they damage the grass.
Booking is recommended in peak season.
Please note that all persons staying in or visiting our Adult Only Field must be 18 years old.
The owners reserve the right to charge for an additional pitch for extra large tents or gazebos/pup tents and extra persons.
Day visitors are welcome during off-peak periods but must call before arrival to check availability as there is limited visitor parking spaces. Visitors are to depart before 7pm. The site regret that that they cannot accommodate visitors to the site during peak periods.
Things to do on site and in the Middleton-in-Teesdale area
Bring a rod (plus a rod licence) and do some fishing in the river - it offers 1000 metres of glorious free fishing on the River Tees.
And if you're not sunning yourself by the water, you can be out exploring a host of footpaths through the countryside.
Why not explore the Durham Dales, try a pony trek through the countryside or even bike the trails through Hamsterley Forest?
