About Cotna Eco Retreat
This family friendly glamping site is nestled on a secluded farm just ten minutes from sandy beaches including the Perhavers, Hemmick and Colonna. There are three yurts and one shepherd's huts to choose from, all of which are nestled away in their own secluded location and are individually decorated and include well equipped kitchenettes with all equipment, tea, sugar and spices, a wood-fired stove. Gilliflower is a 16 feet yurt, has bright colours, Indian prints and a handcrafted double bed with all linen provided. An extra single bed can be provided upon request and so Gilliflower can sleep up to three people. You'll overlook woodlands and be able to hear birdsong. Tregonna King is an 18 feet yurt and is decorated with North African rugs and silk furniture, whilst Fern Pippin is decorated with Scandinavian furnishings and soft pinks and greens. Both sleep up to four people in a king-sized bed and optional extra single futons and are nestled in the opposite corners of a sheltered willow lined field. There's also a romantic shepherd's hut, Ismay, with a double bed and a single bunk too. It's a place to relax, enjoy a simpler life and breath-taking views, kitted out with Indian silk hangings and locally sourced organic cotton textiles. All the units have solar lighting and their own individual washing up sinks outside and nearby you'll have your own warm shower and compost loo. As previous winners of the Cornwall Sustainability Award for Best Contribution to Sustainable Land Management for Environmental Growth, this peaceful glampsite has a sustainability orientated ethos. There are a number of homemade organic food hampers for you to pre-order, including the farmhouse breakfast, more raw breakfast, Indian, late arrival and garden taster...packed full of homegrown produce and perfect for a hassle free getaway! Due to chickens onsite, the site accepts well behaved dogs only, and this must be confirmed by prior agreement.
The yurts are available from May until the end of September. The shepherd's hut is available all year.

Gilliflower 16' Yurt

Gilliflower woodland retreat yurt is the most secluded and is complete with a double bed (please bring your own linen). From the door, which overlooks the woods, you can birdwatch and listen to the hooting of owls at night-time.
Tregonna King 18' Yurt
Max 4 people
Tregonna King is a more Moroccan boutique style yurt. Nestled in the far corner of a sheltered willow lined field, offering guests the space and time to reconnect with the earth. Please bring your own bed linen.
Fern Pippin 18' Yurt
Max 4 people
Fern Pippin is tucked in the top corner of the willow field, facing onto the stream and duck pond. It's conveniently placed for the facilities, so ideal for families. Please bring your own bed linen.
Ismay Shepherd's Hut
Max 3 people
Ismay contains the comforts of a double bed with an extra single bunk, and locally sourced organic cotton textiles. It has its own kitchen shed and a sheltered garden next to the stream with seating and a firebowl. Please bring your own linen.

At the end of your day on the beach or exploring you can get fish and chips on the quay, walk just 5 minutes up the track to the excellent local inn, or relax with a drink and organic food delivered to your yurt!
You'll be within easy reach of famous Cornish attractions, just 10 minutes from The Lost Gardens of Heligan and 30 minutes from the Eden Project.
Furthermore, the site offers insights into organic and sustainable living through a range of courses for visitors to learn more about seasonal food and growing.
There are courses on food and foraging that will delight nature lovers and have everyone learning how to make sourdough bread or preserving summer's tasty flavours through jams, chutneys and pickles. Please contact staff to book.
