We stayed in a shepherds hut and it was lovely. Quiet enough to have privacy without being isolated. Arguably the best outdoor facilities on a campsite of this size.
We will be back

Lovely relaxing site. It has all the basics you need. It is small and not overcrowded in the slightest! There were 8 adults in our group and had our own space with a firepit, which was great. It is very quiet and peaceful. Great location too; St Austell and Charlestown very nearby. Just over an hour drive to St Ives too. Would stay here again.

We stayed in one of the two shepherd's huts located at the top of the arboretum. The hut itself was lovely, really well equipped and comfortable, with seating inside and out, you didn't need to bring anything but your cooking ingredients, which was perfect. The facilities that we used in the camping meadow were great, very clean and the shower had hot water and great pressure, you just need to remember your torch if you use them after dark. The site itself was very peaceful and remote and is the perfect get away from busy lives. We would definitely revisit if we're down in the area again and would highly recommend the shepherd's huts xx

This is a unique site with its hobbit huts and Snook accommodation in a tranquil woodland setting. We had everything we needed for our stay and having our own 'bathroom' was great. Best part was quiet location in woodland setting, everything is quite rustic but then that is part of the experience.

Fabulous little stay at Acorn Camping. We booked a couple of nights and found everything from booking, arrival and the amenities so easy. The campsite owners were very welcoming and I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to visit the Eden Project!

Absolutely fantastic location, careful getting into the car park as the tracks a bit bumpy. Rang down to the owners to get instructions of where to go as I'm rubbish with maps. Owners were very helpful and patient with me as I had no phone signal. The glamping cabin itself was beautiful, honestly, like something out of a movie. It was so spacious while the bed was away. I managed to get the bed down and had room for my son's travel cot. Only downside was it was freezing in the night, so make sure you take a duvet or thick blankets. The facilities were a 10 second walk from out of the cabin door, facilities were very clean, each door was clearly named so easily distinguishable. Would definitely be a beautiful getaway for a couple, family or someone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Beautiful quiet remote location. Our pitches were marked for when we arrived and the campsite is right next to the parking, so didn't have to carry our stuff far, though there are wheelbarrows if required. Fridge/freezer could be better signposted or located, as we didn't know where it was for the first couple of days until another camper told us (down the steps near the toilet and shower block) but the fridge was clean and had just enough space. The toilets could have been cleaner and no toilet paper provided so make sure you bring your own, but not a huge issue. There was always soap in there which is good. There are three showers, two of which were out of order during our stay meaning that there was a bit of a wait most mornings as only one shower was in use for the whole campsite. The car park is tiny and when the site is near capacity, there are not enough spaces for everyone, so some cars had to block others in as there is nowhere else to park nearby. The location is the best thing about Acorn. The area is beautiful and I'd definitely recommend walking through the valley. It is just stunning and was one of our favourite things we did on our visit! The stars are amazing on a clear night too as it is a remote location with very little light pollution. However, it is a very damp area and some mornings our clothes would be damp inside the tent. I think individual firepits would be a great addition. There is one large communal firepit with log seats around it but this was untouched the whole time we were there. It was located quite a way from our tent. We would have loved to have a small firepit on our pitch though, even to have the option of renting one would be great. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would come again (hopefully when the showers are fixed!)

My fiancée and I were amazed by Acorn Camping and Glamping. The whole site was incredible, with so many woodland paths to explore and so much flora and fauna around the site. There's fairy doors and so many little Easter eggs hidden around the site that you can spend hours exploring. The Snook that we stayed in was perfect. Great distance to the facilities and we had our own designated loo which was brilliant. The showers were also good and had with hot water. The Snook had everything we needed, with utensils, crockery, gas cookers and furniture. We bought a bag of logs for the fire and used our free provided bag of logs in the wood barrel sauna (which was fab, but it took a while to get going!). Gas and wood was available to purchase for a very reasonable price. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend Acorn to anyone looking for a Cornwall stay! Just be careful of the cheeky wildlife, the squirrels might try to steal your food and/or Tupperware if left out!

Great location and nice facilities. It's fairly basic but is well worth a visit and a great opportunity to get off grid for a few days. Will definitely return!
