Things to do on site and in the Crowlas area
West Cornwall offers a huge variety of scenery and activities and whatever the weather there is something for everyone. The beautiful coastal town of St Ives is a 15 minute drive away or a short train journey using the nearby park and ride. Famed for its art heritage and hosting a Tate Gallery, St Ives is a true cultural hub. A huge variety of restaurants are available.
Marazion is 10 minutes' drive from Rosevidney by car or 30 minutes by cycle. The site is situated on part of the National Cycle Network's route. St Michael's Mount is truly a sight to behold, an ancient castle perched on a rocky outcrop. Accessible by foot via a tidal causeway or by boat at high tide, it's a fantastic place to explore and let your imagination run riot with tales of giants and smugglers.
The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is an absolute must. An outdoor theatre set into the cliffs with spectacular views across Porthcurno, there are often dolphins playing in the bay that steal the show - a truly unique Cornish experience.
Experience the sea with a local surf school or a local paddle board SUP and kitesurf school based in Marazion, offering world class coaching in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
Surf lessons are available throughout the season with some schools set on beaches, while others are mobile and will take you to the best surf spots in the county.
Cycle hire is available locally with trails running all over the county. Several ancient tramways traversing the county allow the whole family a safe, mostly traffic-free day out. Horse riding at the site is also available by arrangement.
