About Glamping the Wight Way

This small but perfectly formed and quiet glampsite is surrounded by a working farm that spreads over an immense 900 acres. The land is close to the River Yar estuary and makes a fabulous haven for local wildlife. From teal birds to kingfishers, the vibrant colours of birds can often be seen by the waterside. A family glamping site for special getaways together, this is an off-grid glamping experience that does the soul good. Put down your bleeping phone and reconnect with nature - it's the definition of pure relaxation! An easy one mile walk through pretty scenery takes you to the harbour town of Yarmouth, where you'll find a host of lovely attractions and amenities. Back at base, things are just as luxurious as you'd expect, with plenty of extra touches thrown in. Every tent includes a handy kitchen area with hob, fridge, wood-burning stove, butler sink and fitted cupboards so you'll be more than able to rustle up a meal. When you arrive, you'll even be presented with generous starter kits for the kitchen and bathrooms to get you going. There's solar power for lighting and charging via USB, plus you'll have wind-up lanterns and torches to guide you. Inside it's a light and airy space with wide windows and glazed doors, plus the toasty feel of two wood burners. Well insulated from underneath and with an extra roof canopy that tops up your overall shelter and comfort, you're sure to feel right at home. The interior of every tent is beautifully furnished, with bed linen, throws, blankets and towels all provided. They are incredibly spacious, with two king-size beds, one of which can be split into two singles, a set of bunk beds and a sofa bed. Sorry, but the site do not take hen/stag/party type groups or allow pets.

It's likely that everything you and your group would like to do or need can be found within a 3 mile stretch of site - so there's no need to travel far!

If it's beaches that are on your radar, Freshwater Bay is probably the most picturesque beach in West Wight. It is a popular stopping off point for those who like to walk the cliffs to Tennyson's Monument and the stunning coastline rambles along to unspoilt, rugged sandy beaches.

Another one, Compton Bay is a well-kept secret being two miles of contrasting golden and dark sands. Cowell Bay is a stunning beach offering spectacular views back across the Solent, too, so you never have to go where the other tourists are headed. The infamous restaurant The Hut is located here.

Walking is a big part of what makes the isle so special and you're fabulously placed for cycle/walking routes into Yarmouth - or even just strolling to the nearby pub for a tipple.

Whether you come for the isle's unmissable music, food and literary festivals or just for the stunning countryside and beaches, you'll find what you need here. Being an Island, there is a host of quality independent shops that you can browse, plus some really unique theme parks for the kids that suit both indoor and outdoor activities.
