We really enjoyed our stay at Crows Nest, the toilets, showers etc were very clean and tidy. The view from the cliff tops was lovely, we would definitely return.
A lovely site with the Cleveland Way on your doorstep

We stayed at Crows Nest because family have a static van on site. We know the area very well and walked a section of the Cleveland Way to Filey.

We loved our stay at the Crows Nest. This was our 1st time using this site and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The facilities were great. From pitch quality, bathroom/showers, pub, chippy, reception and amazing view of the sea with walkways, I don't think there's anything else we could have asked for in a caravan site. The site catered for families and individuals. It was quiet but with a great atmosphere. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely be back as the location opened up so many options for day trips to different towns, like Filey, Scarborough and York to name a few. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

The super pitches are amazing, they were well thought out with all that you need to keep yourself to yourself whilst away. The only thing I would say is that they may want to think about renovating the site, adding another park near the main complex and updating the games room. Other then that the site is fabulous and we are already thinking about re-booking for next year.

Nice holiday park, ample facilities. Bit crowded. Toilets spacious, numerous, adequate and clean, but cold. Very narrow loo roll, meaning false economy. Good sized shop. Super chip shop. Clubhouse with live entertainment for those who want it. Fantastic view across the sea from the tent field. Hardstanding pitches fully serviced, but grey water waste point in wrong place for camper vans and motorhomes. That's okay, though, because there's a motorhome service point too. Buses both ways stop right outside, plentiful and regular. Dog loved the dog park and there's a nice, modern playground for those with kids. Farm shop and mini market within walking distance. We'll certainly be back.
Good facilities, great staff, bad weather

A large site situated right on the coast. If it wasn't for the enormous fog bank/mist over most of that part of the coastline, the views would have been spectacular! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a very well stocked shop, plus fish and chip shop, bar and swimming pool on site. Only downside was that the free WIFI/internet was only available in the main facilities and not across the entire site.

Brilliant stay, good value for money. Loved the dog park as dogs need to be on leads around (can't say that all owners understand and adhered to that). The site is spot on, there is plenty of space for all. We had fish 'n' chips, really lovely! Most people are polite and don't continue their party at 4am, but there were the select few that arrived the night before we left who were still awake and unnecessarily loud at 4am. Site is easy to get to. The views are amazing if camping at the top end of the field. The coastal path is slightly eroded but you can access the further path from there down towards Filey or up towards Scarborough.

Okay for a few nights. Non electric camping pitches along sides of site were dirty. I camped by hedge for shelter but was full of toilet paper and rubbish. Lots of cigarette butts across the camping area and not cleaned up, clearly been there for few days. Loud radios on until past 11 while we were there. Location very central. Pool is tiny but good fun for young kids. Nowhere to buy a tea or coffee, ideal location for going on days out. . Would recommend for base location if you will be out most of the time. Caravan area looked a lot cleaner and quieter.

Great location in between Bridlington and Scarborough. Arrived Thursday morning ready for a nice 4 night break. Were allocated our pitch on the lower level of the hardstanding serviced pitches. Great stuff. Pitched right next to the toilet/shower block and a very short walk away from the shop and reception. First night was great, not many people about and everyone was chilled. Then boom, Friday arrives. Yes, bank holiday weekend I know, but the whole site was filled to the brim with campers filling an overspill field down the very bottom. It was a free for all and was out of control. Unbeknown to our knowledge, we were going to end up with these said campers constantly using our shower/toilet block and washing facilities. People were queuing out of the doors for both toilets and showers for hours at a time. It was absolutely horrendous to a point where my little 1 messed (only 3) as we didn't make it to the toilet in time. The campers had no respect for anyone as was trying cut through every pitch possible to get to the facilities quicker. It was a massive free for all and we couldn't wait to leave. The swimming pool is far too small for the number of people allowed to swim in it at any one time, the pool tiles were mucky around the edge and the changing rooms were filthy. The shop had a big variety of things for everyday essentials and reasonable in price. The pub had a large selection of drinks available but it just took far too long to get served as the staff were too busy talking to each other instead of serving customers. I ordered 3 drinks and a packet of crisps and I was stood at the bar maybe 10 mins while they chatted. This is not a site that you have time to stand, talking, especially on a bank holiday weekend. The kids enjoyed the arcades, the park and the views. We saw some lovely sunsets from the top of the hill. All in all, would I return to this site? No I wouldn't. Not my cup of tea, far too many people. I would rather go to smaller sites that are family run and not so wild. Not sure if it would be any different on a normal week but I won't be returning to find this out.

Great location, clean site. Plenty space in the toilet and shower block and good facilities generally. Fish and chip shop good quality and very reasonably priced. All good - I'd definitely return.

The site was heaving, which wouldn't be a problem, but there were no set pitches so it was a bit of a free for all. Tents were somewhat on top of each other, not allowing much outdoor space for the kids to run about, which feels bizarre to say on a campsite. Great that there's a pool, it's very small, which is fine, but they have absolutely zero numbers policy by the look of it, so my toddler in armbands hated it once it was too busy, as older kids were basically on top of us there too. My two main issues were the cleanliness and the clientele I guess. The bin in the kids park was full when we arrived on Friday and we didn't see it emptied until Sunday. There was rubbish literally all over the park. My kids and I took our litter pickers and cleared about a bin bag full. This included cig ends, batteries and broken plastic. There were also a lot of young teens loitering round the park as there's not much else for them to do, but ruining for the under 10s. Swearing, being pushy and just generally obnoxious, vaping, smoking in the toilets Toilets were pretty grim, my 5 year old said "why on earth had somebody smeared stuff on the wall" and I have to say, I do not know. It was there the whole weekend. We didn't use the shower as we didn't dare. I'm not precious, our last site had portaloos and an eco shower, but we didn't pay as much, so you do expect more. All in all, we made the best of it, but not as child friendly as it might seem on the face of it.

A must for every camper. A great location and value for money. However, the top toilets could do with being cleaned more often. All other facilities were superb. Swimming pool, fish and chip shop and store were all excellent.

Great location for visiting Filey and Bridlington. Grandchildren (8 and 4yrs) loved the evening entertainment which was on alternate nights. The shower block could do with being bigger as not enough showers/toilets for lower touring pitches.

We had a fab time at Crows Nest, it was the first time staying at the site as it was a last minute trip away for the weekend. We loved the site, with lots of space in the non-electric area and we could be right next to my parents which was great for help to watch our 2 year old! The site had a family feel and after 10-11pm was completely quiet, which was great. Fab park area for all ages and the toilets and showers were really clean and a great temperature. We only stayed for two nights and managed to squeeze in a drink at the on-site bar which was really nice after a long day in the sunshine in Scarborough. The on-site fish and chip shop was a great option for a quick dinner after travelling and the on-site pool was great too. A little small, but perfect for us and our 2 year old. We will be visiting again and recommending the site to friends and family too.
Amazing, but wouldn't stay again

Had an amazing time, stunning views of the sea. 15 minute drive into Scarborough, went to the circus close by which was good! The facilities were really good and clean. The pub and entertainment were really enjoyable. However, spiders were a real problem and really put a downer on our holiday. The tent was covered inside and out with spiders everyday, we spent a lot of time trying to get rid of them, even the car was covered with them. Others on the site had this problem too as we thought we may have disturbed a nest with our tent but a lot seemed to have the same problem. I wouldn't come here again because of this reason. I know camping you get bugs but this was next level. They were everywhere, all the time.

Both me and my husband just wanted a nice, chill time away. People were very friendly, especially the people in the shop. My 3 dogs loved it, will definitely be going again.

There was nowhere to get something to eat for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. The bar had very restricted opening hours and didn't sell food. It was closed completely on one of the days we stayed.

Lovely park, excellent facilities and clean. My family loved our stay. The pool was fantastic, had a lovely park and lots of open space for playing. My only frustration was that everything (children's shop, shop, and pool) all had different opening times depending on the day, so nothing was ever open when expected!
Enjoyed holiday but nowhere to buy food on site

Very nice location, we were on the top field and as described the sea view was beautiful. Spotless toilet and shower block. Amenities would have been good if they had been open. We stayed for 3 nights in June from Monday until Thursday and unfortunately, the fish and chip shop wasn't open on these nights, neither was the shop. We did manage to have a drink sitting outside the bar with our pooches. It was very quiet, but it didn't spoil our stay.

Thank you for your review. Lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Just a couple of replies to your comments. The fish and chip shop is only weekends at this time of year. The shop was open daily during your visit for a few hours before the bar opening, there is also a sign on the shop door stating to ask in reception when closed. We hope to see you again.
