Uncover Salisbury's excellent attractions (Longleat, Stonehenge, Stourhead and more) from this well located Wiltshire farm. Whether camping on back to nature pitches with campfires or kicking back in cute bell tents and shepherd huts, Marshwood Farm is ideal.
About Marshwood Farm Camping
This charming glamping site is set on a proper working farm, just a mile from a local village and between a selection of good footpaths taking you through woodland and across the dark skies and sweeping views of the Cranborne Chase AONB. For tent campers there are very large non electric pitches, offering space for gazebo or shelter to be popped up. Pitches are within a fenced field, which has a designated parking spot per pitch and is a bit of a sun trap in the summer. If you'd sooner travel without the tent, the team can have a lovely 5 metre bell tent pre-pitched for you and ready to go. These sleep four with wooden beds on real foam mattresses, a battery powered lantern, camping stove, kettle and cutlery. Outside is a shaded picnic bench and fire bowl. Traditional and handcrafted, the shepherd huts each have their own private compost loo and a double bed with toasty wood burner to keep you cosy.
Open from 15 April to 31 October

Things to do on site and in the Salisbury area
Who could miss Stonehenge? Famed for its mysterious role in human history, it's in easy striking distance and offers an extensive visitor centre with audio guides to help you explore.
Dawdle off to Salisbury (or make take a quick drive) and you'll find an elegant cathedral, home to the Magna Carta, historic buildings and great places to potter around the shops or eat something delicious.
Take yourself back in time at Gold Hill, which is just as nostalgic and pretty as its iconic TV ad suggests, soak up the blooms at the National Trust's Stourhead (25 minutes) and then walk on the wild side at Longleat - home of extensive grounds and cheeky creatures.
