About The Glamping Coach at Bodiam Station
A family friendly restored railway carriage in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, watch the steam train pass by Bodiam Castle from your private decking. The carriage is from a British Railways Mark 1 coach and has been lovingly restored with soft furnishings to make you feel at home. Sleeping five, the carriage is ideal for a family getaway in the East Sussex countryside. The master bedroom has a double bed and ensuite for that extra bit of luxury! There is another bedroom with two single beds, a living area with a TV and sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen as well as an additional bathroom. All bedding is provided. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, induction hob and microwave so you can cook up a hearty meal for the family. For when the sun is setting, there is a private decking where you can take in the countryside views of former Guinness hop gardens and various vineyards whilst you cook your dinner on the BBQ, or sip your glass of wine from the deck chairs. Watch as the trains chug past on their way to Tenterden, you can even hop on and visit the 'Jewel of the Weald' for yourselves! With up to five trains a day, you can't miss it! Bodiam Castle is only a short walk away so why not explore the National Trust site and its heritage? Or wander the streets of Battle, Rye or Hastings, all close to the carriage. The private decking has a BBQ area, but sorry no campfires. Sorry, no pets or children under 12 as the site is too close to a working railway line.

Things to do on site and in the Robertsbridge area
There is plenty to do around the glamping coach, with gorgeous countryside views you don't have to leave! You can cook up a family meal in the kitchen or outside on the BBQ.
From the carriage you can see former Guinness hop gardens and various vineyards, definitely worth an explore for a bit of history on the area and some tasting! The River Rother is also only a ten minute walk away so take a stroll along the banks as you spot the nesting wildlife.
If you wish to explore the area, Bodiam Castle (5 minute walk) is a national trust site where you can explore the insides of the medieval castle, walk around the moat or explore the surrounding habitats. Whilst you're there, why not pop into the tea room or the gift shop for some souvenirs.
The seaside town of Hastings (30 minutes) is worth a visit, stroll along the promenade, pick up some fish and chips to enjoy on the beach or meander the quaint streets of the Old Town. Or take the train to Tenterden, the "Jewel of the Weald"!
