About Netherfield Place Farm Camping
Along with sweeping views of the Sussex countryside, the site is also lucky to be in a part of the country with minimal light pollution - on a clear night, the sky comes alive here. The entrance to the field is along an unmade road and a gentle slope where you will be asked to park at your pitch. There is a pond on the camp field where you'll likely spot wild ducks and the occasional heron. The surrounding fields are also home to some of the country's birds of prey, deer and rabbits. You'll enjoy plenty of space and privacy on the non electric grass pitches here, catering exclusively to tents. Bell tents sleeping four are the perfect choice for glampers, each with a furnished interior and fire pit. Dogs welcome.
Netherfield Place Farm Camping is open from 10/07 to 28/07 and 31/07 to 07/09.

Things to do on site and in the Netherfield area
The campsite is perfectly placed for you to explore the surrounding areas with some of the best beaches in Sussex just a 20 minute drive away. Take a trip to Hastings nearby, where you'll find The Smugglers Adventures, crazy golf and fisherman's huts.
If exploring the countryside is more your thing then this is the place for you! There are many footpaths leading from the campsite to Battle and surrounding areas - easily accessible by foot or bike.
Battle is a historic market town with the famous Abbey, the site of the Battle of Hastings. Why not also try exploring some of the walks and trails around to see if you can spot any of the 19th century follies?
Nearer to home, the village of Netherfield is less than a mile away. You can take a stroll and try the two pubs, both with spectacular views, and pop into the village shop to purchase some local produce, necessities or just to visit the café and post office.
Other attractions include:
- Colwick Country Park
