Things to do on site and in the Woodbridge area
A fishing lake stocked with carp is available on the site where many guests like to spend the day relaxing in the summer and there is a spacious ball game area and table tennis set for those who are sporty.
Just behind the caravan site is Newbourne Springs, a nature reserve, so sightings of owls, buzzards, deer, rabbits and ducks are very much the norm. The Wildlife Trust is stunning in the spring and attracts a host of butterflies.
The market town of Woodbridge is only a few miles away, popular for the ancient ruins of Sutton Hoo and Bentwaters, a museum that really brings the Cold War to life.
If you prefer the beach, then why not drive to Felixstowe which is just 5 miles away with a pier and a nice seaside feel. From there you can catch an adorable harbour ferry over to Harwich to see a snippet of Essex and where the Mayflower set sail once upon a time.
Back in East Anglia, take advantage of these fun days out:
- Boating on the River Deben
- Aldeburgh
- Jimmy's Farm
- Foxhall Stadium for incredible speed displays
- Trinity Park for the annual Suffolk show
- Southwold with its beach huts and quaint pier
