About Steadings Park Caravan Site

Set in a rural location with no night pollution or road noise, this park is great for a peaceful break in your caravan in the heart of lovely Suffolk. The area is surrounded by plenty of dog walks and is dog friendly so bring your four legged friend along for a family holiday. The park consists of five lush fields and covers approx. 20 acres of secluded Suffolk countryside. Just behind, there is a nature reserve and some gorgeous walks for active guests. This is a quiet seasonal site which also has six extra large hardstanding fully serviced touring pitches in the main field. The pitches are some of the largest pitches in East Anglia at 12 metres wide, so there's plenty of space to stretch out and get comfortable. All pitches have a 10-Amp electric hook up and mains water supplied. For those guests who prefer not to camp, there are four-berth static caravans with hot tub available to rent. Or how about trying the one bed luxury converted piggery holiday let. The site cannot accept groups larger than two families. Fire pits are loaned free for one night to guests. The site offers easy access to Woodbridge, Felixstowe and Ipswich and is a lovely base for exploring rural East Anglia.

Sorry we no longer accept tents.

A fishing lake stocked with carp is available on the site where many guests like to spend the day relaxing in the summer and there is a spacious ball game area and table tennis set for those who are sporty.

Just behind the caravan site is Newbourne Springs, a nature reserve, so sightings of owls, buzzards, deer, rabbits and ducks are very much the norm. The Wildlife Trust is stunning in the spring and attracts a host of butterflies.

The market town of Woodbridge is only a few miles away, popular for the ancient ruins of Sutton Hoo and Bentwaters, a museum that really brings the Cold War to life.

If you prefer the beach, then why not drive to Felixstowe which is just 5 miles away with a pier and a nice seaside feel. From there you can catch an adorable harbour ferry over to Harwich to see a snippet of Essex and where the Mayflower set sail once upon a time.

  • Boating on the River Deben
  • Aldeburgh
  • Jimmy's Farm
  • Foxhall Stadium for incredible speed displays
  • Trinity Park for the annual Suffolk show
  • Southwold with its beach huts and quaint pier
