Ideal for those who love fresh air and countryside, boundless acres of Exmoor are convenient to explore from Sparkhayes Farm. Beaches and extensive woodlands surround the campsite and various National Trust properties are close too.
Visitors will love the history of the Hornicote Estate and picture-postcard scenery. To top it all, thatched cottages and pack-horse bridges are nearby in the charming village of Selworthy.
The neighbouring village of Porlock is also well equipped with cafes, restaurants and pubs, all reasonably priced, and the little harbour at Porlock Weir is well worth a walk. Porlock is a very dog-friendly village with miles and miles of incredible walks.
This part of the world is, of course, cream tea heaven, but there's an opportunity to burn that off with horse riding and golf a short distance from the site. Local things to do include the West Somerset Railway, Butlins and Exmoor Zoo for animal lovers.
