This is a very well thought out site that gives privacy. Our yurt (Bollinger) was very well equipped and cosy. My only criticism is that the decking area around the yurt, hot tub and kitchen areas are very slippery and dangerous when wet. I suffered a bad fall. I was not being irresponsible nor was I under the influence of drink. The decking was wet and my right foot just slipped, bank a heap on the floor. I would like to see the smooth decking replaced by a highly non slip form of flooring. Apart from my bad fall, our glamping experience was terrific.

Many thanks for your very lovely review, we are very happy to hear you felt that the site itself was impressive and that overall you enjoyed your stay. We were very distressed to hear that you had a fall while staying with us. Believe it or not it's the first time anyone has had a bad fall at our site before! Obviously, we take the safety of all our guest extremely seriously, and we do have lots of warning signs up around the site regarding the decking and taking extra care when walking around, if the weather has been wet. We do provide anti slip mats in the kitchen area, by the hot tub and at the front door of yurts. Unfortunately, at this time of year when all the leaves are falling it can cause the decking to be a little slippery and we do our very best to ensure guests are aware of this. It's hard being a rural glamping site and battling against the constantly changing weather, but we always try our best. Shortly, after your stay we did ask a company to come in and advise us if there is any solution which was affordable (as you can imagine we have a huge amount of wood on site and we are only a small family business) and we are waiting to see what options there are which will help long term. In the meantime we have paid a company to pressure wash all the decking areas to try and remove any excess dirt/leaves which may have been contributing to the issue and it seems to be a lot better. I hope this helps to reassure you and others reading, that we care very much about our guests and are actively trying to remedy any issues for future guests.

We really enjoyed our time here and it was all as pictured on the listing. The ladies that own it and the staff were all great and wanted to go out of their way to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay. It is clear how much they love what they do and providing a great experience to visitors. It is great how much is provided on the site and saves the hassle of remembering and packing it all. The kids (and me) loved all the games and facilities that were provided on site and could have kept them busy for hours. The inside of the yurt was spacious and cosy.

A group of 4 ladies went and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The yurt was decorated well in a bumble bee theme and had all we needed for a relaxing break. The hot tub was the highlight and we certainly made the most of it. We had booked massage treatments by Anna and she was excellent and very friendly. Loren, her mum, and Helen (we didn't meet Lou) were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We'd booked afternoon tea after our massages and they came beautifully arranged. For £25 each, they were very good value. The only negative is that it was very muddy and we couldn't use our fire pit and BBQ, but this is the British weather for you! All in all, a very relaxing break and would definitely come again.

Thanks for such a lovely review, Carole! We are so happy you enjoyed the stay - it was lovely to meet you! Yes unfortunately we have been hammered with a record amount of rainfall this winter (south Norfolk was even in the paper as being one of the worst affected areas!) Obviously we always advise guests if the conditions are muddy and we are glad you all remembered your wellies! So sorry you weren't able to use the BBQ/fire-pit, if we'd known you needed them moved to a dryer spot, we would have happily moved them for you so you could utilise them. Unfortunately, as with all outdoor locations, the weather is the one aspect we can't control but we are closing in March to try and improve the drainage and paths on site so we can try to avoid this situation if it should happen again! We'd love to welcome you back one day!

I can't recommend this place enough. We had a fantastic 3 night stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. The Yurt was beautiful and the bed was really comfy, the best night's sleep I've had in ages. All the staff and owners are really lovely people and a big thank you to Loren, who greeted us on our arrival. She was brilliant and a credit to Glamp and Tipple. Can't wait to go back 😃

Thank you so so much! This really is such a wonderful review and it makes our whole team so happy! Loren is AMAZING and we are so very lucky to have her happy and smiley personality on the site. We spent the best part of a year trying to work out a contract she would be able to afford to accept (both parties equally keen to work together!). As we were only a baby business, at the time, the idea of being able to afford a full-time member of staff was a scary prospect! We are so happy we took the leap of faith, she has been such a great asset and such a joy to work with! Long may she help us make G&T what it is!

I spent 2 nights at the Glamp and Tipple on 4th and 5th of October 2023, with my partner. We had a great time! The Yurt was very cosy and felt luxurious at the same time. There was complimentary tea, coffee (ground Brazilian coffee as well!) and hot chocolate. The bed was comfy and the sleep spray smelt lovely and very calming. The decoration was lovely and it had all the cutlery and crockery you would need. And all the kitchen utensils you'd need to prep a meal. The wood burner inside the yurt was lovely to have on when it got cooler at night, as was the fire pit outside. The facilities on site are great whether your going as a couple or as a family/ group of friends, with plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. The private bathroom was also very welcome. We also had some friendly visitors in the shape of a cat with her 2 kittens! I would definitely recommend the Glamp and Tipple. I've been glamping in the past and this was by far my best experience.

The heated yurt really is heated when the fire gets going and they had cute gifts and amenities. There was a limited amount of wood and kindling etc, which isn't enough in the winter. That means a lot of extra costs, especially if it's a solo experience. The kitchen is shed like and is difficult and challenging to use. There was no electric kettle or heaters either. Hot water bottles are provided but boiling the water in the kitchen is challenging. The bathrooms are a small walk away from the tent, not ideal again in winter so you can't use them at night. There was also limited instructions for people who aren't used to camping or glamping.

Thanks so much for your review. We always take feedback very seriously. Sorry you felt that there wasn't enough information provided. Prior to the stay, you should have had an email with the full welcome pack and instructions. In the Yurt, there is also a full ring binder guest book with information about all aspects of the site and how to use everything, plus an 24 hour on call number if you get stuck. As advertised, our face to face check in time is between 3-4pm. We had been expecting you at 3pm as per the booking information you provided and we did try to contact you via phone and text when it was 4/4:30pm and we hadn't heard from you. We explained we would leave you with another document specifically for the self check in process on the desk and that we had an on-call phone available, which I know we spoke to you on a few times after you arrived. We are so happy you found the Yurt nice and warm once the burner got going, they are extremely efficient. We do not advertise that we provide electric heaters as the yurts are insulated and the log burners are so powerful that we have never required them since March 2022 when we upgraded to the yurts. With the amount of wood provided, we heat the hot tub in advance for your stay and then provide you with an extra 9kg bag (per night) for the Yurt, as well as kindling and firelighters. We can never be sure how much wood a guest will us, but there are bags on site you can buy, or we do say the guests are welcome to bring their own kiln dried wood if that's more cost effective for them. Unfortunately, with the price of wood as it is at the moment, we aren't able to give an unlimited supply to guests, but we do try to make that clear in the information pack provided. We are sorry you seemed to struggle with the kitchen, there is a double gas hob with kettle which we've never had any issues with in the past, so I'm not sure why you weren't able to boil the water. Failing that, we do provide an electric kettle, toaster and microwave in the communal area if guests needs to do something quickly. The bathrooms are a short, 30 second walk from the Yurt (as per the photos and description) and we do provide torches and lighting for guests to see where they are going. The bathrooms are always accessible through the night as they are private to your Yurt and they are also heated so that you can be warm in there when you arrive. I hope that the experience overall was a positive one and won't stop you trying glamping another time :) We will do our best to take your comments on board and improve where we can. Helen and Lou xx
