Great location. Lovely, clean, large bell tent with everything you could need. Clean facilities and helpful staff. My only complaint is that they could provide lighting above the sinks for night time teeth brushing.

Had a lovely girls weekend in Lepe meadows. Staff were brilliant and really friendly! Found the toilets really clean, although we only stayed for one night, so didn't use any of the shower facilities. They have a little camping shop and there's a Tesco and Sainsbury's about a 5 minute drive up the road, and the beach a similar drive the other way! The only thing is that I would recommend is to bring yourself some ear plugs, as there was a loud humming sound throughout the night from what I assume was a generator!

We stayed for 2 nights. Toilets are clean, and are suitable for children which is great. Showers were good, warm and clean. The firepit hire was a popular hit with many campers. When we had some campers partying until 2am, the staff quickly resolved the situation. The only reason I gave 4 stars for facilities is the sink height of the hand wash station. Neither of my children could reach the sinks, my 6 year old can normally wash his hands independently but couldn't.
Amazing campsite!

An absolute gem of a campsite, great for families. Fabulous location. The campsite is relatively near to the beach (about a 20-25 minute walk) or you can park there for a charge of course. Also, near the country park and forest. The facilities at Lepe meadows campsite are wonderful such as the campsite shop where you can purchase drinks, sweets and the all-important marshmallows! The freshly prepared pizzas, garlic bread and breakfasts are also great and not extortionate. The staff there couldn't be more helpful and accommodating, you can really see the passion in the work they do to help make you have the best stay. Will definitely be returning. Thank you Lepe meadows!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lepe Meadow. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The field is beautiful. Not quite as close to the beach as we expected, but nonetheless it is an exceptional site. Very clean, well maintained, good facilities. The showers are really awesome. Thank you for making our trip so lovely, and a happy place to return after our adventures in the day.

When we booked this campsite, the facilities were not the ones that were there when we arrived. We thought the toilets were disgusting, you do your business in a bin underneath you ready for the next visitor to see, at first there was sawdust that you chucked on top, but that soon disappeared, so the smell is disgusting. There were 6 toilets, 6 showers & 2 washing up sinks that also are meant to double up as a hand basin for cleaning teeth, shave or just handwashing, not hygienic at all. I would say whilst there over the weekend, there were between 50/60 other tents using them, not enough for the amount of people. Often you'd go in the toilets and they were so dirty. The hot water was on in the morning and early evening. When we booked this campsite, had we of known all this, we would never have chosen to come here. We were 3 families with young children and we feel these facilities were not practical or clean. Luckily, this was not our first experience of camping as it would definitely of put us off, when we got home we felt so dirty.

We value all comments from guests, whether they be negative or positive. We were put under enormous pressure / short notice by the New Forest National Park and Natural England to reduce the impact we have on the National Park with our visiting guests. This is to reduce the ecological impact we have on the area by reducing the nitrates, phosphates and general waste produced by the campsite to achieve 100% neutrality to allow us to open for the season. This meant some major changes to our facilities. Managing the changes on our opening weekend had unexpected challenges. We have been working tirelessly to make even more improvements since then focusing on comments made, which we know our guests will enjoy and appreciate. Even though we now embrace being an ecologically friendly campsite, we don't want this to impact our guests stay and damaging our fantastic reputation. Our aim is to keep improving Lepe Meadows and its facilities within the limitations allowed and to hopefully be praised on ecological level we're trying to achieve.

While the staff were friendly, the campsite was more than disappointing! My family were the first to arrive on site, half an hour earlier than check in, but were kindly told we could pitch and go back to reception after we had done so to check in and get the information we needed. We were also advised that the toilets weren't quite ready, but they would be within the next hour. If you allow guests to check in at 12:30pm, everything should be ready by then. In fact, the toilets weren't ready for the next few hours! And they were certainly not as described when we placed the booking and in previous reviews. Having spoken to staff, I was told that the New Forest council had told them in March that you needed to change your ablution facilities to a 'long drop'. While I am fine with this, having used them before, it was not suitable for children (the children we had with us ranged from 3 - 13 years). As we had booked in February, we should have been made aware of this and been given the option to cancel our bookings. The toilets were lovely to start with, having just been built, but within a few hours they were disgusting! A member of staff asked for my opinion on the toilets, and he said that it was children that were causing the problem. A sign was then put up on the toilet doors to say children under 1.2m needed to be accompanied. In my opinion, it was not the children, but a bad design of the 'separator' within the toilet. The saw dust was also taken away. It was also not a nice experience to go to the toilet when you could see and hear people working on them behind you. The showers weren't great. I used them once in my stay and was not prepared to do so again. The shower trays were slippery, and the water overflowed out of the tray, making the whole area wet and slippery. There were only 2 hooks so not enough space to put clothes and towels if you were showering with children. While the water did get mildly hot, it didn't last long before it went cold and then switched off. There were only 2 washing up sinks and no hand basins to wash hands after going to the toilet, clean teeth or wash your face. This meant that people were queueing to use the two basins for both washing dishes and doing hands and teeth. In my opinion, this is not hygienic. For the amount of people you allowed on site, there were definitely not enough facilities - 6 toilets, 6 showers and 2 washing up sinks/hand basins. We were also told that a recycling bin was going to be made available. This was a good idea for an 'eco-friendly site'. However, this did not turn up and therefore the rubbish over-filled the one bin that was available, and people ended up putting their rubbish bags on the ground around the bin. This is certainly not eco-friendly! I understand you were waiting on the company to deliver the bin; however, this should have been sorted prior to allowing people to stay. The grass had not been cut, which wasn't ideal, especially if you dropped something. If you know when people will be camping, this should have been done. By the time we left, we had spoken to a few people who were also shocked at the facilities. I have tried 3 different ways to contact the campsite as I feel we didn't receive what we paid for, but I have had no response, despite an automated email saying we would hear back in 48 hours. Neither have the friends we camped with heard anything.

Friendly welcoming staff. Plenty of clean toilets and showers, never had to queue. We enjoyed hiring a fire pit and toasting marshmallows and gathering around it in the evening. Campsite was set in a beautiful location close to the beach, where we enjoyed a day of paddle boarding. We went for a day at Paultons park which was about a 25 min drive and was a lot of fun for the kids. Would recommend. Thanks for making our family break enjoyable and stress free! 😃

The bell tent was amazing, spacious and clean, and the camp beds are big and very comfortable. There were a few bits missing when we checked in which we had to chase up, we had no stove, cutlery or a picnic bench, but the staff quickly rectified this for us. The facilities aren't up to the same standard. The toilets and showers are trailer units and not plumbed in, so as a consequence the water can be patchy and sometimes doesn't work - we were left with a mouthful of toothpaste and no water more than once. There's also no lights in the toilet cubicles - there is by the sinks, but once you go in a cubicle and shut the door it's totally dark. The showers however, were hot and very nice. There are signs everywhere saying the water isn't drinking water - but there isn't a facility for drinking water which isn't great when you have water bottles to fill. Overall it's a nice site for a short stay, but the facilities could do with some investment if they want to offer a full glamping experience

Lovely campsite and we really enjoyed using it as a base for local trips, booked paddleboarding at Lepe Beach nearby which was great, visited Avon beach and more. Be aware this campsite is more basic but you are paying less, so you will get what you pay for. In our case this was fine - you learn when hot water is on, and when all water gets switched off. You can eat pizza or breakfast at reception on certain days. The team are super friendly and helpful too. Pub nearby bit of a walk but a nice outside area, no food on the day we went but we did go late in the day. We met a lovely elderly cat there crossing the pub road who gave us lots of purrs, must be known to everyone based on the sweet tags it had. Give it a scritch under the chin if you see it.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campsite, one thing I love about camping is having your own space, and this definitely had space. Gorgeous tree lined field. Fires and BBQs were welcomed. Toilet blocks and showers were clean and hot. Thank you for having us!

We chose this site as the locale suited what we were looking for. It was easy to get to and well signposted. The toilets were similar to a festival and were not enough for the amount of people on the site. This was made clear when there was consistently at least one out of action. There were only 4 sinks for washing and brushing your teeth. The showers were good but, they are only open between 7-10 and 4-8 which we found inconvenient and is not stated anywhere.

Gorgeous location with amazing, lovely staff - loved it. Only downside was that no-one seemed to be freshening the loos overnight so after 3 days the ladies' really stank?? Maybe there was a problem with contract cleaners, really don't know, but this is the only thing that could've been better. My son said the pizza the staff made was the best he'd ever tasted.
