A great place to stay amongst the trees, ponies and cows. Lovely places to walk, also walkable to local pubs, close to the New Forest Wildlife Park. Great facilities and nice and clean. Hard standing was perfect and we could pick our own place amongst the trees. Only small issue with that is you need to leave something to reserve your pitch if going out for the day, our pitch had gone when we returned. Not a problem when the site is quiet as plenty of space elsewhere and we should have left something to be fair. Not sure what amongst the ponies, cows and rain! Will definitely return!

Wonderful atmosphere in a perfect, spacious setting. From the very beginning, reception and staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was great and the park had everything we needed, even a phone charging station. I had some car trouble, and they even came to help get me started and wouldn't accept any cash or donations.
Loved Ashurst as a family holiday

We loved staying at Ashurst campsite because it was in the heart of everything. Shops, woodlands and bike paths. We especially loved the staff, they were really nice and easy to approach. We especially enjoyed the fact that there was a bike shed that was locked overnight so all our bikes were safe. We will definitely be back next year.

Clean, well managed site, lots of space for our tent and stuff. Close to pubs, shops and takeaways. Toilets and shower block regularly checked and no queues. Phone charging lockers, padlock available from reception for £3.50. Lovely staff, rightly proud of their site.

I found your campsite when searching the internet for a Hampshire campsite suitable for a short stay with a 5 year old grandchild. The site was everything I could have wanted. Very warm and helpful welcome, site well set out and perfectly clean, with very good facilities. The setting was great with the lovely New Forest all around but just by both Ashurst railway station and the bus stop- it was perfect for us.

Lovely site. Very impressed that the site went quiet after 22:00 as it was full 😀 Bit disappointed that the recycling bins are not ideal! Could be made more obvious, with different colours.

Like the site, not the rules

Like the position, the facilities, the staff. Don't like being locked out at 10pm or not being able to use BBQ after 9pm and then being kept awake by group of lads until 1pm.

Absolutely loved this site. Feels in the heart of the New Forest with ponies and cattle wandering through. We had glorious sunshine, which helped 😁 Lots of lovely walks directly from the campsite and a little shop in walking distance. Friendly, helpful staff and exceptionally clean, accessible facilities.

Beautiful location. Site is very clean. We didn't book a hardstanding and were told to go anywhere as long as we were 6 meters from anyone else. Be aware there is a train line that runs along one site of the site, and a station. Waking up to wild ponies roaming around was lovely. We caught bus by the entrance of site to Lyndhurst, well worth a visit, £4 return. Pub and bus stop 5 min walk. What more do you need? Would def recommend and visit again.

We had a great stay at this campsite. It's a struggle to find campsites where no dogs are allowed and so we were so happy to find this site at a great location near two pubs. A short cycle (2 miles) along the cycle track takes you to Lyndhurst too. The showers were hot and clean. I've just taken one star off for the cleanliness if you look up at the windows there are quite a few cobwebs. Booking through Campsites.co.uk was easy and useful. On arrival the campsite attendees were helpful and friendly. The campsite locks at 10pm, which is good and bad. If you want to go out for dinner later, be aware of that but you can probably park somewhere near by. We felt safe and got a good nights sleep, and it was lovely to wake up to the ponies wandering round the site. Facilities, I took a star off as there was no provision for hair dryers, that's all.

We had a great time despite poor weather. Toilet block always clean and park well maintained. Loved seeing the ponies wandering through the site amongst the tents and caravans.

A lovely campsite, ideal for touring the new forest by bikes or walks. Close to local amenities, including 3 pubs and a train station, with direct links to Southampton (eastbound) or Bournemouth (southwest). The site is strictly managed (rightly so) as there are wild ponies. A great central shower/ toilet block, very popular at bank holidays.

A gem of a campsite. Great choice of places to pitch up. Even when busy, didn't feel crowded and still spacious. Late check out was amazing. Wash facilities very good and always kept clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend and go back as soon as we can.

This campsite is perfectly located and set in stunning countryside. The ponies roam free and it is a great place to unwind. Staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly!

Really nice park, great staff. Just beware it is very close to a train line on one side and a main road the other, so pick your pitch tactfully.
