The UK's only natural World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast, is easily reached from the site and boasts spectacular coastal scenery. The Isle of Purbeck is home to a number of Dorset gems too, including the famous Old Harry Rocks, as well as beauty spots Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
You can also take in the stunning coastline on a route along the South West Coast Path, which can be picked up roughly three miles from the site.
Or take to the waters on a kayaking adventure at Studland with Fore/Adventure. Boat trips over the Jurassic Coast are also available from Swanage and Weymouth.
Don't forget to pack your swimmers to dive into some of Dorset's charming seaside resorts. Pop to some of the UK's highly rated beaches at Poole and Bournemouth or laze on the sands at Studland Bay. Weymouth and Swanage also have their own golden stretches of sand - ideal for a sunset stroll.
