This idyllic adult-only site offers bespoke shepherd's hut's nestled in a secluded field on a peaceful working farm in the Piddle Valley, just 15 minutes from Dorchester. The Hut's were built nearby by renowned hut maker, Plankbridge, to the highest standard and the owners have used quality furnishings throughout. Both of the shepherd's hut's feature a king-size bed, electric, an ensuite shower, a kitchen and a wood burning stove, so no need to worry if it's raining or cold, you can hunker down and while away the day in complete warmth and comfort. If you want to get in touch with nature or maybe do some stargazing then your outdoor claw-foot bath tub is the perfect spot. Relax and listen to the owls in complete privacy, or maybe sit around the fire pit with a glass of wine. There are plenty of spectacular walks direct from your doorstep, the Dorset Gap being just one of the must-see places on your list. The County town of Dorchester has many shops, cafes and museums to keep you busy too. If the coast is what you are seeking then just a 35 minute drive away is the Jurassic Coast with Weymouth's sandy beaches and just a little further is Durdle Door, 40 minutes away, with its breathtaking beach. Dogs are not allowed, sorry.

Site rules and policies
Guests must acknowledge that the huts are located on our working farm, which comes with daily farmyard activity and noise from tractors, agricultural vehicles and cows.
When walking around the farm, please be aware of your surroundings.
Do not enter any fields other than the field containing Shepherd's huts. This is due to livestock which can become unpredictable. As well as the fields, please do not enter the concreted farm yard area without the owner's permission.
Maximum of two adults aged 18 or older.
Pets are not allowed.
No additional visitors or guests outside of those on the booking.
No parties or events.
No loud music. Guests should respect the designated quiet hours and keep disruptive noise to a minimum. Music must be kept to a minimum during daytime hours and turned off during quiet hours.
Quiet Hours are 9pm to 8am, during these hours guests are to be respectful of the surrounding properties, farm and other guests staying at Tokenhill. Please keep noise to a minimum, as noise travels quickly and far and can potentially make the farm animals agitated. During this time, please turn off music/loud devices.
Fires are not to be left unattended
All fires must be contained within the designated firepits, wood stove or BBQ
Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for repair, inspection or emergency purposes. The homeowner shall reasonably exercise this right of access by giving at least 1 hour's notice (unless in case of emergency).
Things to do on site and in the Dorchester area
The huts are a stone's throw away from the beautiful and famous Dorset Gap and many other picturesque public footpaths. The Dorsetshire Gap is a critical, historic track junction, once the hub of central Dorset in southern England and a well-known beauty spot and magnet for ramblers.
There are many excellent hikes and gentle walks through the Piddle Valley's rolling hills. On your way, you can stop by the Lyscome Chapel, a historically listed building that was forgotten for many years.
For an idyllic afternoon out, head to Athelhampton House and Gardens (20 minutes), a stunning manor house with wonderful grounds and gardens. Tour the house and explore all of its hidden secrets!
For a day out by the sea, Weymouth is just a 30 minute drive away, with stunning sandy shores and great attractions on the sea front. The famous Durdle Dor is also just 40 minutes away, known to be one of the UK's best beaches.
