About Meadowsweet Farm
Meadowsweet is rustic camping at its very best. Set on a small farm, the site provides fruit and vegetables to the local community and partakes in breeding and rearing rare breed animals including the critically endangered Suffolk Punch horse. The site offers an opportunity to get back to nature with the family in an idyllic setting close to the coast, with easy access to the local surf beaches and walking trails. Perfect for couples and small respectful groups too. Opening their gates to respectful campers, the owners here wish to share the tranquillity and peaceful atmosphere of the farm. Social souls can use the communal campfire pits with wood available from the farm, but if you're looking to kick back with a small group, or have some quiet family time undisturbed, there are portable fire troughs available too. Choose from a range of tent camping pitches set on this charming organic farm. Vehicles are not permitted within the camping field although parking is available in the neighbouring field which has road access. The ethos here is nature conservation, preservation of rare breeds and local natural food production. Sorry, no dogs due to sensitive animals on the site.
Meadowsweet Farm is open for weekends in June, from 19th July- 30th August and then for weekends in September.

Things to do on site and in the Braunton area
Walkers and cyclists can set off directly from this campsite to access the Tarka Trail and other beautiful scenery.
Saunton Sands Beach can be accessed via the main car park which is less than two miles down Saunton Road. However, if you'd prefer a quieter stretch of the beach and don't mind walking you can access the Sandy Lane car park 1.4 miles from the campground (down a quiet lane).
From here, you can walk over beautiful sand dunes to pop out in a significantly less populated area of the beach. The walk takes between 30 minutes to an hour depending on pace - you may even get the opportunity to catch a sunset from the dunes!
Croyde is the next beach down the coast and known for its surfing. Board rental available from both beaches' main car parks.
Many other amenities are available in Braunton town including restaurants, surf shops and bike hire. The Braunton countryside centre is an excellent educational facility and can be used to inform you on how best to make the most of your stay. Here, you may have the chance to access free guided nature walks informed by a local botanist.
