Dyers Meadows Camping is a relaxed site just outside of Parkham, ideally located for exploring both the North Devon and North Cornwall coast. Welcoming families and dogs across eight acres, there are ten mown grass pitches amongst wildflower meadows to give you your own space. Enjoy evenings around your fire pit under the clear night sky, great for stargazing! For days out The Milky Way Adventure Park, a beach and Clovelly are ten minutes away.

About Dyers Meadows Camping

If you're looking for a relaxed spot that is full of wildlife and conscious of the environment this may be the perfect spot! Set in North Devon and just ten minutes from beaches, the South West Coast Park and some top family attractions there is something for the whole family to enjoy. The site has only ten pitches that are mown into the wildflower meadow, spread across eight acres and two fields you'll have plenty of space and privacy. Pitches are non electric and welcome tents, roof and trailer tents and campervans. You can pick your pitch on arrival and can accommodate units up to 10m x 10m. The campsite is set on 20 acres of countryside great for exploring or walking the dog around and spotting wildlife, such as birds of prey and barn owls soaring past! There is a great pub a ten minute walk from the site and the South West Coast Path is also ten minutes away, great for dog walks and beach days. For family fun, head to The Milky Way Adventure Park or The BIG Sheep with rides and animals to meet! The site is dog friendly with up to two permitted to join you per pitch. You're welcome to park by your pitch too, unless the ground is waterlogged. You'll also be provided with a fire pit and are welcome to bring your BBQ for cooking your evening meals. This site is a member of the Greener Camping Club, which means that to book guests must be a member. Membership is £12 for the year and gives you access to over 160 eco campsites across England and Wales, this can be added to your booking.

Dyer meadow is open from 4th- 21st April, 23rd May to 1st June and then for the summer holidays.


Facilities and amenities

Facilities include compost toilets, hot showers and a washing up area.

You're welcome to bring your own BBQ for dining al fresco, or head to the local pub The Bell Inn which is a 20 minute walk from the site. For picking up any essentials there is a village shop just a ten minute drive away.

We love nature and know how important it is for people and for wildlife so buying this 26 acre site was our dream. The plan is to boost biodiversity, habitat for our important local plants, insects and animals and share this natural spot with our visiting campers.

We know people love nature, and nature is essential for our mental wellbeing and the Planet. We hope with this little space we can make people and the natural world around us happier.

FAQ

Guests are welcome to bring one of each free of charge.

Check-in is available from 11am until 7pm. Please advise the site if you are delayed. Departure is due before 4pm on your last day.

Open fires in the designated campfire areas and raised BBQs are permitted except in hot and dry weather, due to surrounding woodlands.

Yes, guests can bring up to two four-legged friends, just please ensure that they are kept on the lead at all times and not left unattended. Breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

No, this site caters for families and couples only and does not accept group bookings or single sex groups of more than four adults. Hen and stag parties are also not accepted.

Yes, cars can be parked on your pitch, however, if the site has had periods of prolonged rain the ground may be too soft to drive on and you can park in the designated area and use wheelbarrows to transport your gear. There is a speed limit of 5mph whilst onsite.

The grass pitches are all non electric.

No, sorry there is no WiFi onsite.


This site is a lovely, peaceful spot for those wanting to just sit and appreciate their surroundings, with bee and butterfly dense wild meadows, birdlife soaring past and clear night skies. You'll also be just a short walk from an excellent pub so there really is no need to travel too far!

Set just ten minutes from the South West Coast Path, ideal for walkers and those travelling with their canine companions. You'll also be close to the A39 which is a great stretch of road for cyclists too.

You won't be far from great beaches either with Westward Ho!, Peppercombe Beach, Hartland Quay and Saunton Sands are all within easy reach.
