Why you'll love it at Kitts Campsite
About the site
For rustic camping, pre-pitched bell tents, crackling campfires and bluebell woods, look no further. Located ten minutes from Haywards Heath, this dog friendly campsite is ideal for family, friends or solo travellers wanting to unwind in the countryside without being too far from the action. The site offers unmarked non electric pitches for tents and small campervans, spread across two spacious meadows. While both meadows are family friendly, there are designated corner pitches for bigger groups to camp on. There are plenty of firepits available, so don't forget to bring the marshmallows! If you're more glamper than camper, why not book a stay in one of the furnished bell tents? The 5m bell tent sleeps up to five, fitted with raised camp beds with memory foam mattresses, cushions, bunting and solar lights. If you're a big group, the 7m bell tent can accommodate up to eight and is furnished is a similar fashion. Please note that dogs are not permitted to stay in the bell tents. Guests will also be pleased to know that a food truck visits the site every weekend, allowing you a well-deserved night off from cooking. The Sloop, a charming country pub, is just a ten minute walk away. National Trust gems like Wakehurst Place, Devil's Dyke and Standen House are all under half an hour away, while Brighton Beach is only 35 minutes away - perfect for a refreshing dip. Dogs are very welcome but should be kept on leads around the site. Campfires are permitted in the firepits provided and firewood can be purchased from the reception.
