It is set by the Union Canal for fishing, with Almondell and Calderwood Country Park next door too. Open year round!

About the site
Located in the beautiful Scottish countryside just a 30 minute drive to the bustling city of Edinburgh, this site is a great choice for those after a getaway that it fun for all the family. With an onsite play park, dog walking area and shop there is something for everyone. Neighbouring the Union Canal, this site is also great for the budding fishermen out there! This site has even taken home the award of best campsite in Scotland at the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards. Enjoy large grass pitches, measuring 8m x 10m with 16 amp electric hook up. These are suitable for family-sized tents, caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. Or opt for either electric hardstanding pitches, measuring 8m x 11m, or fully serviced hardstanding pitches. These both have 16 amp electric hook up whilst the fully serviced pitches also have water hook up and grey waste drainage. Both pitch types are suitable for caravans, motorhomes or campervans. The site is geared towards making your holiday a hassle-free one. A small shop can be found in reception selling essential groceries and camping items. For the little ones, there is an onsite play park with swings! If you're looking to explore the local surroundings, push and electric bikes can also be hired from the site. For the avid fisherman, the site is even next door to the River Almond and the Union Canal. There's even something for your pups with a fantastic dog walk at the back of the site! Up to two dogs are allowed per pitch. If you're after dinner al fresco, BBQs are allowed so long as they are raised off the ground. Open fires are not permitted. A range of holiday homes and lodges are also available onsite.

Hard packed gravel touring pitches, measuring 8m x 11m with plenty of room for an awning and parking. 16-Amp electric included.

Max 8 people
Self catering static caravans, sleeping up to 8 people in three bedrooms, with a pull-out double bed in the living area. There's one ensuite double bedroom and two twin rooms, plus a living and kitchen area with fixed dining area.

2 x Self Catering Lodges
Max 5 people
Luxurious two bedroom lodge with space for up to five people. Both bedrooms are ensuite, while the rest of the lodge is open plan with a fully furnished kitchen and lounge area with TV/DVD. Outside is a balcony and BBQ, with parking for two cars.

Site rules and policies
*For tents you must not book more than one pitch per booking and single sex groups of 3 or more adults are not permitted, regardless of whether booking one pitch/accommodation or several.
*School Bookings are not permitted.
*For all pitches group bookings are not permitted. A group booking counts as two or more pitches booked by the same family or group regardless of whether booked together, separately and/or via different booking channels. The site will not tolerate groups who have booked separately and are later found to have booked for a gathering. If this occurs, groups will be asked to leave the site without a refund.
*The correct amount of guests are required to be booked in before arrival. If you are expecting more guests to be staying, please inform reception and the additional person(s) will be added to your account.
*All guests are expected to adhere to health and safety signage around the site, including speed limit signs.
*Guests are to be considerate to their neighbours and other visitors.
*The site does not permit open fires or fire pits. BBQ's may be used but the hot part must be raised above the grass.
*Strictly no smoking in any of the buildings.
*Quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am. During this time no music, media or social gatherings are permitted that can be heard by other guests on site.
*Visitors to site must report to reception before visiting guests at our site. They are to park in the allocated parking area next to reception and not on pitches.
*Please respect other peoples' pitches.
*The Park is for private touring caravans, motor homes and tents for holiday use only.
*Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
*No Arrivals after 9 pm to ensure the comfort of all guests staying on site.
*If booking a hard standing the caravan and awning must go on the gravel area. Rock pegs are advised for this. No equipment or cars are to be parked on the amenity grass between hard standings.
*A maximum of two dogs per booking are permitted.
*Dogs should be kept on a lead in the park and not left on site or in accommodation unattended at any time.
*Dogs should be exercised off site in the dog walking area at the far end of the Park and cleaned up after. These should be double-bagged before putting them in our bins. No dogs are allowed in the toilet block, reception, kitchen or children's play area.
*Electric car charging is not permitted on pitches or using power from your lodge or caravan.
Things to do on site and in the Edinburgh area
There is river fishing available just a few hundred metres away (permits available at reception). The play park has plenty of space for the kids to run around, but you can also cycle off on an adventure with a hired bike
There is a bus stop just over a mile away that you can use to get to Livingston or Edinburgh and the site can provide you with a timetable if you need one. Alternatively the park and ride is 4 miles away, with free parking for all vehicles (including motorhomes) and a regular tram service to the city.
There's also a railway station at Kirkliston a mile from the site which has a direct line to Glasgow Central in under an hour and a bus stop just over a mile away that you can walk to for buses to Livingston or Edinburgh.
