About the site

An exciting opportunity awaits at Sandringham in Norfolk. During your stay, you can visit selected areas of the historic Sandringham House, along with its gardens and parkland. The visitor centre offers a shop with local produce, whilst the onsite cafe and restaurant are open daily, offering breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea as well as light bites, cakes and takeaway drinks! Standard touring pitches (with or without electric hook up) are all grass and measure 11m x 10m. They include space for one caravan with an awning, a motorhome with an awning, a campervan with an awning, or a vehicle with a roof tent and one car only. Tents and trailer tents are not permitted on the touring campsite. These pitches allow up to six guests. For groups wanting to pitch together, the grass family and friends touring pitches measure 22m x 10m and include space for two units in any combination. These can include a caravan with an awning, a motorhome with an awning, a campervan with an awning or a vehicle with a roof tent and a maximum of two cars. These allow up to 12 guests, with a 16 amp electric hook up too. The spacious tent pitches measure 9m x 9m and include space for a tent, trailer tent or vehicle with a roof tent and a car. These allow up to six guests. All pitches are allocated on arrival on a first-come, first-served basis. Or, if you want to pack light, leave the tent behind and opt for one of the beautifully decorated bell tents, sleeping up to four with a combination of double and single beds, bedding, fairy lights, lanterns and rugs and blankets to keep you cosy. You will also have electric sockets, a small fridge and a kettle for your morning cuppa. As well as exploring the extensive grounds of the estate, Sandringham also has a large woodland play area for children. There are many walking trails so you can stroll through the woods to Sandringham House where there are two-way marked nature trails and many woodland paths to explore. For those who fancy something a bit more adventurous, there is a 20-point orienteering trail to follow. A free 5km Park Run also takes place in the parkland every Saturday morning. The flat terrain makes it an ideal place to cycle. The nearest National Cycle Network route is route 1 which runs from King's Lynn to Snettisham, via Castle Rising and Sandringham. The section of the route from King's Lynn is off road, using a disused railway line. The site is dog friendly, so four-legged friends can join in the fun. Please always keep them on a lead and respect your fellow campers. BBQ's are permitted though they must be raised off the grass.

Camping and touring is available from 17th April to 13th May and the bell tents are available for weekends from 18th April to 12th May.
