Just minutes from Horncastle, Louth, and the Bluebell Inn, it's a great base for countryside and coastal adventures.

About Oxcombe Campsite
This is a simple, pop-up site based on a peaceful rural farm in the small village of Oxcombe in in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Set in an old church paddock surrounded by rolling parkland, traditional farm buildings, and grazing cattle. The site has just ten non electric grass pitches in total, each 6m x 6m and welcoming up to four guests. Each pitch allows tents only, with wonderful views over the surrounding Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and neighbouring church. Despite its rural charm, the campsite is conveniently located near plenty of attractions. The market towns of Horncastle (10 minutes) and Louth (15 minutes) are just a short drive away, offering antique shops, local produce, and charming streets to explore. For a delicious meal or a cosy pint, head to the Bluebell Inn in nearby Belchford, a friendly country pub just minutes from the site. When you're ready for more activity, you can enjoy scenic walks or bike rides along bridle paths and the Viking Way, or venture to the coastline at Skegness (30 minutes) for seaside fun. Families will love nearby adventure parks, wildlife centres, and beaches like Moggs Eye and Gibraltar Point, where you can soak up the sea air and spot local wildlife. Back at the campsite, you'll find all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including proper showers, indoor loos, a communal washing-up area with fridge access, and a cosy indoor seating area in "The Cowshed," a converted traditional barn. Kids can enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere, and everyone can pick fresh fruit from the orchard next door! Open fires are not permitted but you're welcome to bring gas stoves or disposable BBQs along for some al fresco cooking. Four-legged friends can also join you for your stay, with up to three allowed per pitch.
The site is open 18th to 21st July, 25th July until 1st September, then for weekends only until 29th September.

There's no shortage of things to do nearby, with plenty to keep the whole family entertained. For kids, the thrill rides at Fantasy Island (35 minutes' drive) are a must, while animal lovers can meet majestic creatures like lions, tigers, and bears at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (30 minutes) or Wolds Wildlife Park (10 minutes).
For something a little gentler, head to the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre (25 minutes) to see friendly Shire horses up close. Finish off with a relaxing family walk along the shore at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (35 minutes), a perfect spot to reconnect with nature.
History buffs and culture seekers will find plenty to enjoy too.
